It is. It's a souless mega dome. I'd wager that 99% of Spurs fans would rather have the old WHL back
That's your opinion but I don't believe it's soulless, more corporate? yes but I've never had a bad time there with 'atmosphere' the only issue I have had at the new stadium, but this due to Footballing culture now, is that due to the price of tickets as there are a lot more older generations now that attend (this isn't a THSS that's the demographic across the PL) that whinge at you because you either Stand up to cheer a goal, sing chants or scream at the players (I'm either in the South or box 105) but I just tell em to piss off to the family area. I'm 41 yrs old & won't be spoken to like a fukkin kid by people in their 50s+.

Anyways yes WHL had charm & it was a smaller pitch so that helped - It was an old-school stadium where I had a lot of good memories but I wouldn't go back to it. The stadium was coming close to the end of it's tenure & I was at the last game there & I got a bit sad when the game ended a few of us wanted to pitch invade to get some grass but we chickened out as we didn't want to be banned :D

I think when it comes to WHL we have a lot of rose-tinted glasses - Have you been to Old Trafford recently? or in the last 5 years? cos that stadium is DUSTED, I refuse to go there & I would rather have our new stadium than let WHL become a dump like that. At least we didn't move into the London Stadium that place is fukked for a UK type football stadium again I don't go there either...

I have to admit that I tend to zone out if I can't watch a match live, so only have to live through the horror of games when we're at home. I used to go to the pub to watch away games, but can't put myself through it anymore. If we play well, then happy to catch the highlights on MOTD. I swear that this keeps me relatively sane. Loved last weekend as Spurs couldn't ruin it for me!
But I'll be there tomorrow and on Thursday, still hoping that we can get a couple of wins, and even daring to dream that we might put in a performance.
Hope to catch up with you Thursday Mrs P.. Does the Shelf Bar do V & T ? Be a pleasure to get you one in.

I've long since come to the conclusion that the football side is an irrelevance to Levy and co. As long as 62,000 rock up and pay what they do then hey...
It's an Entertainment Complex. NFL, Beyonce,Go fucking Karts etc bring the revenue in..
The comparison with Bournemouth made a few posts back is interesting. Yes, only 12,000 capacity but THEY ARE A FOOTBALL CLUB.

Tel doesnt warrant a starting place. Came with a big ego.
And too much fan fare - I said that he would just be a band-aid & we got him to cover a crack but I was told by many that I was wrong then guess what happened? Ange to come out & said that was pretty much why Spurs got him.

SO it's nice to feel vindicated once in a while by Ange himself :D

I voted lose
Hehehe

I always liked to stand in the Shelf

Great views and great fans!

Those were certainly the days!!
Probably my favourite times watching Spurs. I used to queue up really early to make sure I got to the front. Best view in the house, not far from the players, and you could see passage of play from an elevated position. Watched the 1984 UEFA Cup Final from there - what a night that was

I’m looking forward to the game because I reckon the players will put in a great performance and we’ll win and win well.
Then we’ll all think the team and Ange have cracked it and we’re on our way back to the big time.
And then it’ll be Thursday …….

I agree with you, just like the great performance the players put in after 8 day's rest before the game on Thursday.

Absolutely everything is now a question.of historical reflection, because nothing rhus season should suggest anything positive.

The best thing (for me) about tomorrow is that it is one game closer to the end of the season.

Begging the players to respond after the meek effort against AZ. Can't we go a proper roll at some point this season? Best we've done so far was the three wins in row in the league...

Not sure which poster on here said this but it was pretty spot on.

“ levy didn’t build the stadium so we could compete. He built it so that we didn’t have to “

Would be very surprised if we avoid defeat here.

Romero and VDV need to start. They've been mollycoddled enough.

Vic
Porro - Romero - VDV - Spence
Biss
Bergvall - Maddison
Odobert - Solanke - Tel
