Gentleman i know, actually a professor and Man City supporter had his jaw broken outside Anfield as a 16 year old by home fans/cowards. The police just stood by and watched. All about Liverpool, no one else matters. Just like the Robertson tackle never happened, Mane and Salah never dive etc.

But how do you account for the fact that the whole country thinks you get an easier time with it?

I don't think there was anything wrong with our performance, so what we had 20% possession, how many times have Spurs lost games by the odd goal where we have had 70%+ possession. When other teams do it against us they were never criticized for how they played. When we park the bus and restrict Liverpool to very few clear cut chances we get panned for it by all and sundry.
What do they want us to do open up and play tit for tat, gung ho shit against that attack? we would have shipped 4+

They had several very good chances in the game, it was more of a reflection on certain players not looking interested or putting a shift in than the final result. The fact all the effort and money that had gone into this amazing venue then players not showing up.

I actually agree, on offside we are now down to inches for everyone. It's now hand ball were it seems to be going wrong, my point still stands if Spurs were way ahead it would be you lot getting the stick. Look at how we all agreed that Man Utd bent all the rules then, but not so much now.

I re-watched the game on Portuguese TV ( I suggest if you don't understand Portuguese then its fantastic but even if you do the commentators add so little that it's as though they aren't there!) and the main things I took out of it was the lack of press, lack of pace, the persistent bypass of our midfield and the demented attempts to play crosses to small(ish) players. However the problem of injuries have meant the formation was forced on us.
If we can't manage to establish midfield control then we will always end up struggling as our defence get run ragged.
