Christ we are on this already? These usually pop up after a bad defeat as a palette cleanser. We WON ya bastards - savoir the moment SpiderSpurs SpiderSpurs !!

In saying that, this should be a comfortable day at the office. Tempted to do a big bet on a 4+ goals and Vinny first...

Thread has been here since BEFORE today's game, it's how I sometimes like to do things.

If you have an issue put your complaint in writing to Don Giovanni Don Giovanni .

Tanganga - Sanchez - Dier - Davies
Sissoko - Winks - Lo Celso
Bale - Vinicius - Lucas
2-0

Need to rest key players for Stamford Bridge. Can't afford Aurier picking up an injury with Doherty out for that game. Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Kane and Son all get deserved rests too after the mammoth performances they just put in and Only issue Bale gets some more minutes under his belt too.
Only issue with that team is we are playing all eligible CB's in the starting line up so none available on the bench. Don't see any obvious alternative though.

Subs : Lloris, Aurier, Cirkin, Reguilon, White, Sissoko, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Kane, Son, Dele, Clarke or Bergwijn

What's the issue in that?

Tanganga gets injured? We bring Aurier on.
Sanchez picks up a knock? We move Davies or Tanganga at CB and bring on Aurier or Reguilon.
Dier picks up a knock? The same.
If Davies picks up a knock? Reguilon comes on.

No obvious back ups on bench in case of an injury - Cirkin and White have played CB occasionally so might be emergency cover, but that's really it unless we bring on Reguilon and shift Davies across but that means Reguilon does not get a rest.

Its not a disaster, just not ideal !

Meh - the likelihood of any injury is slim.

These games are nothing more than high intense training exercises, in my view.

Agree with all that but think we also need to find a way to rest Dier in EL games as Alderweireld could be out for a month - think this is the way forward over the next month in EL games :

Hart
Tanganga - Sanchez - Davies - Cirkin
Sissoko - Winks - Lo Celso
Bale - Vinicius - Lucas

Time to trust youth in a game where all of our group are probably closer to Championship or even League 1 quality rather than PL, so Cirkin should be able to deal with this level of opposition.

And as LB backup on the bench, White played well aged 18 in the 2019 preseason as LB against better quality opposition, although played more as a friendly. If Winks is still injured from his England matches I'd play White in his place too as he showed (again) in pre season that he's a decent punt as DM.

That allows Davies to play CB, where he played last EL game and looked good, so rsting Dier

And with almost all the rest of the squad on the bench (now including Dier) we can always bring on more experienced players if need be.

Subs : Lloris, Aurier, Reguilon, Dier, White, Sissoko, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Kane, Son, Dele, Clarke or Bergwijn

Is it Thursday yet?

Love this "again, again, again" feeling. :)

Love looking forward to seeing the likes of Vinicius and the B-team playaz.

I’m thinking Bale can get an Hour on Thursday and then be ready to start on Sunday?
