Why are Solanke and Calvert-Lewin starting ahead of Abraham ? Unless Abraham is carrying a bit of an injury I can't work it out. Not so sure about DLC but Solanke has barely scored a senior goal in his career.

don't worry , a romanian passing through here ... hopefully ,undected ...
don't be upset guys, we have a great U21 team already in development ...like in the 90's , we are coming again in the big screen of international football ...step by step
Hagi jr. and company now are the stars
Ianis Hagi - Gheorghe Hagi , like father , like son ...

Boothroyd was the wrong man when he was appointed and that is even clearer now. The guy has not credentials to be in a position to coach so many talented players. You could see the gulf in class between England and Romania but they had a plan and they played their best players.

Imagine if we did sign the other Moussa Dembele all those years ago for what would have been a bargain. Great movement, great goal.

Lol no. Most of these players will flop as usual. We’ll be lucky if 2-3 of them will make it at some medium sized European club like Ajax or Anderlecht.

That was a really strange line up by Boothroyd, like he was trying to get as many attacking players on the pitch without paying any attention to balance or cohesion. No proper CM’s, and why wouldn’t you start Foden?

If England want to capitalise on the excellent young players being produced and well coached by their clubs, they really need to put someone in charge of them capable of coaching them and tactically developing them better than Boothroyd.

It’s not about winning tournaments, or even games, at this level, it’s about education.

If England teams want to start playing good football at senior level, then it’s got to be coached at youth/U21 levels.

It’s great having a lot of the ball in the odd game against a lesser or pragmatic opponent, but pointless if every time you play anyone half decent that goes to pish and they just revert to that English stereotype of reactivism and passive aggression.

We are still seeing at senior level, in the WC last summer, the first decent side England played they shrunk back into their shell. And it’s evident in every Boothroyd U21 side.
