I think priorities now have to be FA Cup, 2nd, get Kane back on track for the golden boot, developmental minutes.
At the end of the day a few matches at the end of a season isn’t going to help Foyth all that much, especially if you’re lifting the foot off the gas and there’s no pressure - he trains all week with some of the best in the world, 90 minutes against a shit Stoke in a dead rubber isn’t going to boost his development.
However, we talk all the time about developing the squad mentally. Well, chasing down United and catching them from 4 points down with 7 matches to play may well give them the mental edge in doing the same for a title in the coming years.
But in the end I’d rather win the FA Cup and finish 4th at this point in the season, than 2nd and not win.
