we were 6th not that long ago, all this chat of top 4 being secured is too early. there are still 21 points on offer. our run in on paper is favourable, but so to is Chelskis.

don't take this the wrong way, I think we will comfortably finish top 4, but you cant start playing squad players thinking it is a given. not yet. if we win the next 3 then we only need a point in the last 4 games, then I'd say is the time to start playing squad players.

Yep, agree.
But, if we win the next three we'll be within a point of second place, and then there'll be a very good reason not to play squad players.

With Top 4 now all but secured, is it time to expose some players to a few more League minutes and rotate the likes of Eriksen, Kane, Dele etc. to ensure optimum freshness for the Cup?

Personally, I feel the upcoming League games are an excellent time to give KWP, Foyth and Lucas significant minutes.

Or is it more important to keep this momentum up and play the main boys as often as usual?

Considering that Poch's sides have previously ''gassed'' come season's end, what are your thoughts?

Fair post, and I’d like to see a few of the fringe players get minutes. But, I’m wondering what you by “gassed”. Last year we smashed teams away from home at the end of the season. Leicester and Hull jump out as decent away days.....

But fully support getting KWP amongst others some minutes if we have CLwrapped up

Before last season Poch's sides had a reputation for running out of steam in the last few games. Hopefully last season was the start of that ending, but its something to consider.

Don't see the point anyway not like we have a million games left to play and players will want to stay sharp for world cup , I want to see strongest team possible in every single game and expect us to best the victims , don't wanna see anyone playing unless it's on merit.

as is the consensus above - full on to keep momentum and to finish as high as possible. If we get to a game 3 or 4 up with 20 minutes remaining a bit of rotation might be possible to give fringe players some valuable playing time but other than that full steam ahead!

Play our strongest team for every game, I want teams to be scared stiff of having to face us. Show No Mercy.
Agree with this. There are 7 games left and, however unlikely, Chelsea at their best are capable of winning 6 and maybe even 7 if they show up against Liverpool.

Let's keep our foot on the gas and win them all, including City. We'll be their 4th game in 10 days when we meet at Wembley on the 14th. Not only might they already have the title wrapped up, they'll have played Liverpool (A), United (H) and Liverpool (H) in quick succession. It's a great time for us to play them.

I want 2nd and I want the FA Cup.

Any idea of easing off is crazy. We need to increase the intensity and pressure to try and push for another Top 3 finish. It’s also important for the FA Cup that we maintain a high, consistent level of performance. You can’t just turn it on and off.

Only 4m difference between 2nd and 4th. I think in the long run, the opportunity to get KWP, Foyth and Lucas may benefit us more than that.

Even using those players, I expect us to win the majority of our games. Especially since 4th is automatic qualification for CL, it may be worth it.

That said, I really want to come above Liverpool, the greatest side in history ever and ever.
It's more than that because it also affects the TV money distribution for the next season's Champions League

I think it’s a little early for that.
Slip up against Stoke and yesterday is undone
That is the reality of yesterday, every game IS massive yes others have more significance whether it be a London derby for the London teams ,top 6 opposition or a team near you in the league! But for every team with their own challenges every game is important away to stoke next week is as big as yesterday was! I personally fall into this trap and think that we've done the hard bit so the next game is not important but it is...that's where the manger comes into his own motivating the team doing the training, match plays ect! but getting the players in the same mindset that playing Stoke is the same as playing Chelsea that's where he'll earn his salary.....

You get loads more money in the champions league based on how high you finish in your own league

Not sure why some think that selective playing of the likes of Kyle Walker-Peters is necessarily easing up - he made a 'man of the match debut' against Newcastle away Newcastle United vs Spurs Match Centre - 13 Aug 2017 - tottenhamhotspur.com in the first game of the season. So no reason not to play him in 2 or 3 of the easier last few games (and think he may be a more regular starter next season as he's aty least as good as both Aurier and Trippier imo, just less experienced).

Lucas Moura has been on the bench for PL games in the last month, and I think its inevitable that he will get minutes off the bench given his performances so far with maybe a couple of starts. I'd be more cautious of playing Foyth as CB is a more critical position - but might relax that if we played 3 CB's.

The real problem is that with everyone fit (except Winks ?) with about 22 fit players (including KWP, Lucas and Foyth) and only 18 places in a match squad several players will always miss out.

And by the way I think we are still in with a shout at 2nd (although I think odds are that currently we may miss out by a point) and if we play Man U as we did recently the FA CUp is within our grasp

Agree with most here.
Let's keep the intensity. No, lets raise it! Number of reasons -

1) Guys, if we do well against City and don't slip against Watford and Leicester we might face a run of ONE home loss across TWO seasons! Even for that feature - keep it all up.
2) We are in FA, I rather believe that keeping the foot on the throttle will do us more good than bad - players are still focused and hungry, we still play with strongest lineup and keep the fluid co-operation going. Ofc if there is a player that needs rest and would do better with some time off for semi / potential final, we could consider it, but that would be for the sake of maximum efficiency of that player, not about youth prospects
3) We could totally raise higher! Remember, we are 2 points from Pool with game in hand! They still play Chelsea + have tough CL games (with away Meyerside derby in between) left. It would make me immensly happy to finish above them! And ManU could be still be overtaken!
4) We are Tottenham fooking Hotspur! We play entertaining football, and even if things are settled, ppl who randomly turn into our game in EPL have to see the show! Never know where we could add another fan to our Yid army!
5) Of course I still would like to make a trip to Wembley if I manage :D . Would not like to witness any compromise of quality after I fly over 2000 km to see my loved team play ! :D

Poch will most certainly rotate more the last 6 weeks of the season with 8 games to play in all comps (9 including FA cup final), especially with an 8 point gap over 5th.

I think that Brighton game, depending on how things shake out between now and the 17th, could be heavily rotated. Same for Newcastle at Wembley.

But I'd really like to get 2nd again - I think we are the 2nd best team in the league this season - but we'd basically need to win all of our games from here on out to overtake the gap Man United built up.

Would not play KWP or Foyth but as stated in Stoke thread, think he will make say 3 changes including Kane for that match. Biggest worry for Stoke is the team starting flat and Stoke gaining confidence. That is why we need a few players trying to dislodge the player in the team. Maybe just the FB's but cannot put KWP ahead of Aurier or Rose, or Foyth ahead of Toby.
