Yes he's a cunt - and he's thick and he's arrogant, but sadly, imho, on this occasion he's right.
It boils my piss when penalty takers do this. The rule is crystal clear. But what boils my piss even more is that 99 times out of a hundred the weak, lily-livered, pathetic scumbags don't do anything about it.
It's the same with encroaching within 10 yards of a free kick. The rule is there but it's no longer enforced by these pathetic wankers. They just encourage dissent and rule-breaking
Referees are responsible for the anarchy on the pitch these days. They're like those laissez-faire parents who let their kids do whatever they want, until it's too late.
The rules are clear that's allowed. He had another step to take so good. Whether it should be allowed is a different story.

Feinting in the run-up to take a penalty kick to confuse opponents is permitted as part of football. However, feinting to kick the ball once the player has completed his run-up is considered an infringement of Law 14 and an act of unsporting behaviour for which the player must be cautioned.

On the free kick aspect not only are the cunts supposed to be 10 yds away and they’re usually not because they refuse to retreat they pick the ball up to prevent the free kick being taken quickly!

Yes - I noticed in the last game that even some of our decent, honest players have been suckered into trying it. If even Spurs players are being tempted into doing it, there's something rotten at the core - and it's called referees.
The law is clear and at NO point does Son brake the laws here. Penalty takers ARE allowed to faint during their run-up. The law states you can't faint when in the act of kicking the ball.
Son's faint is in his run-up, so it's perfectly legal. Whoever that is on Co-Coms with Savage is also a cunt for getting the laws wrong, NOTHING is written about stopping in run up.

Imagine how long this will take too. Him being notified by his army of video assistants all looking at their iPads, telling him to put his hand up, specify and communicate the issue, probably ranting and raving all the time. All this taking 5 mins so far, and then the review by VAR takes another 3-4 mins. Absolute farce.
This is the offside that wasn't flagged which lead to Awoniyi suffering a potentially life threatening injury. (Apparently not hyperbole).

Come on man, how often has there ever been a life threatening injury caused by a non given offside? Like 1 in about a trillion non offsides?
If football wanted to prevent serious injuries, there’s hundreds of rules they could worry about before getting to non given offsides. They could start by making the goal posts out of jelly. Then stop players heading the ball.
