Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Traore has the same end product as Davies, Reg, Doherty, Tanganga, Royal and Seggs.

Fuck all.

Pretty good defenders but offer nothing going forward.
You now Reggie has registered six PL assists right? In a season and a half? That's not exactly no end product. 3 last season, 3 already this.

Cancelo, who everyone is raving about for his link up play has 4, just one more than Reggie.

No offence but did you even watch the Spurs v Liverpool game? Based on play / chances we fully deserved the win because we played with pace and intensity. We do the same against the Chavs we are sorted.
I was referring to the games v soton and Watford where we pass the ball around too slow or don’t get the crosses in early enough.

As far as I can tell, both Nuno and Conte have wanted to play with Kane running in behind, but the through balls just never come. If you go back and watch almost any previous match (yesterday wasn't the best example but the point remains) and just study Kane all game, you'll see him constantly pointing out passing lanes and making the runs.

I bitched about this earlier on in the season and nothing has changed:

It's still the same thing. Most of the balls Kane asks for aren't unreasonably difficult for PL-level players, especially supposed MFs, wingers/wingbacks or attackers. Hell, a lot of the time, he's signaling for the smartest, safest, easiest, or most effective out ball in the situation, yet it falls on deaf ears.

If I were more conspiratorially-minded, I might suggest that some of the team have adopted the same attitude as the fans and no longer want to give Kane the ball. I (mostly) don't believe that though. In reality, it seems like a systemic cowardice among the midfielders and other players generally that leads them to eschew ambitious passes in favour of safe, non-progressive balls. Kane's not the only attacker affected by this lack of creation, but he's the one, as far as my observations have indicated, who makes the largest number of clear requests for passes into his runs and whose current role most heavily depends on the players behind him not ignoring him.

It's a real shame because it seems like he could actually emerge from his slump completely if he could just get a bit more service on a regular basis. Today, he was mostly back to serving other attackers by holding up the ball or carrying it forward (which isn't his ideal role ofc). With all of his successful take-ons and progressive passes, if he'd scored that big chance, it would've been a very good performance from him, IMO. Oh well, I still think he's finally recovering from his nightmare summer.

(When I say "you" in this post, I mean the generic all-encompassing "you"; rather than you, the poster Zomb , with whom I mostly agree.)
My post was actually in relation to Son rather than Kane. Agree with most of your points re: Kane tho. It’s suicide to keep playing PEH rather than a midfielder who can pass fwd and get either Kane, Son and or a Lucas running in on goal

We simply won’t finish top 4 or win anything with that basic clogger in such a pivotal position

Both Southampton and Watford did a low block, in Mourinho parlance. Do you think Chelsea will do the same against Spurs or maybe, just maybe, they might attack? This will lend itself to the way we played versus Liverpool Ie, a much more open game.

Just for your information, this is fact, not speculation:

Emerson Royal's first half by numbers vs. Watford:

100% take-on success

87% pass accuracy

72 touches (most)

8 crosses

6 touches in opp. box (most)

6 duels won

2 take-ons

2 tackles

2 chances created

1 interception

Playing really advanced.

There’s a massive over reaction to him. People seem to have forgotten how bad our crossing from fullback positions has been throughout the years. Even Walker was complained about.

"In all, Emerson slung in 14 crosses, of which just five found Spurs players, while none of Reguilon's five crosses reached a team-mate."

Says a lot. We can upgrade on both these wing-backs.

What is the universally accepted success rate?

.....And what was the balance between ours and oppo players in the box on these occasions?

Not that I'd claim to know but context is always nice.

I swear 5/14 sounds quite Trippier-like and he's never too far from Spurs fan's lips when it comes to crossing.

Just seen MoTD highlights

Ian Wright: "they should have just given the ball to Emerson every time..."

FFS we're not talking about a 17 yr old rookie from the yoof. I've no doubt that Conte will either drill into his skull what to do or he's out, so not pressing the pancake button just yet.

But really, lamentable in possession, every fuccking time
