Just wasn’t to be for us today. After a nightmare start, Liverpool could have potentially got at us but the team regrouped and slowly started taking control.

We were missing that final killer pass or shot and its not inconceivable that with a high quality signing or two, we could have got that crucial breakthrough.

Disappointed in a couple of performances today esp Dele and Trippier but overall can’t be upset with the boys - its been a monumental effort to get this far.

As a coach you will now be telling your wide players and strikers to lift the ball at defenders arms, under these new rules hit the players arm and unless it's glued down to his sides you're getting a penalty ... more goals, more controversy, great for the TV companies ... but is it proper football?

My point is if the ref hadn't rolled the dice and made a call (that can then be subsequently checked), would VAR have intervened? ...Was it clear and obvious?

I think we should join the chorus of clubs who boo the CL anthem next season. They weren't fair to us.

When you’re gifted a massively dubious penalty it allows you to play completely differently. Sissoko having a ball smashed at his shoulder from point blank range resulted in Liverpool soaking up the pressure and allowing us to fumble around trying to find an opening. When we inevitably threw caution to the wind in the dying moments they were in a position to capitalise.

That shit decision completely changed the flow of the game.

Fair point, if the ref didn't see it then VAR could in theory at the next break in play have advised the ref to look again and give a penalty, hard to see the ref not seeing it but I guess it's possible ...
 
Bin this thread - makes us look like the pricks on RAWK and ARSEWIPE - we're Spurs we're better than this

Poor decisions happen, this one wasn't even that hard to understand, crazy rule being poorly applied, so stop whinging like little kids .... it won't change a feckin' thing and makes us all look like cunts.
 
Anyone who says it doesn't need investigating Is a fucking idiot , whether it's corruption or not it's still complete fucking incompetent reffing , how could he hace been sure that was a penalty ? He should of gone to VAR immediately.
