Hard to go past Biss and Bents as the double pivot - they're playing their best footy in a long while. The 4-2-3-1 Ange recently employed gives us a much more stable base to control the midfield.

Our biggest issue is Deki being absolutely awful of late, so we're reliant on Porro for creative outlet. Close him off and we're cooked. Odobert's the alternative at 10, for quick transitions and movement in tight spaces, but doesn't have the passing range, vision or experience (yet) to dictate attacking tempo.

I'd love to see our wingers narrower to flood the box and Porro + Destiny wide. They both look a lot better as wing-backs/wide fullbacks.

Bentancur and Bissouma are shoe in's and my guess is he will go with Kulu in the ten despite him being pretty ineffective since he returned from injury. We have two meaningless PL matches between now and the final so I would try Moore in the ten for one of those games and maybe Tel in the other although I'm not sure Tel has the defensive discipline (but then neither does Maddison or Kulu). To be honest, it will probably be exactly like it was yesterday.

United coming back in injury time to get to the semi final was the same as our Ajax moment and then our luck run out, lets hope the same happens to them, if we can avoid a red card (all teams facing them in the KO games have had 1 ) and we can avoid a clumsy penalty in the first 5 minutes then I think we can win

Its a hard one as you want to give Deki the minutes and hope he plays himself into form but then you also need the alternative in case he doesn't, it would be nice though for Ange to tell some of the fringe players that if they impress in the next 2 games they will play a part in the Final , I feel a bit harsh for Djed as he has been great but Porro & Udogie don't deserve to be dropped.

I attempted to do a knee slide on the carpet and ended up getting carpet burns and had to be assisted to my feet!!

Mrs B had to remark that she hadn’t seen me get carpet burns for over 30 years!!

Mates never took the piss at all but after that miracle who cares??
