Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It really is unlucky when you consider Ange made 8 changes for Palace game. Only Kulusevski (who needed minutes for match sharpness as he was on poor form) , Porro and Bentancur started from Thursday.

Very unlucky to rotate so heavily and still get an injury.

That is insane bad luck getting all 3 of our number 10s injured at the same time. Maddison, Bergvall and Kulusevski. I'd be tempted to try Son in the 10 and let him run in behind solanke. Not sure it'll work the but the alternative is Sarr and playing 3 more defensive mids.

I'm not buying into this idea of playing Moore or Odobert as the 10. Can't see that working
I think that would be a more beneficial position for Son himself, and he could be dangerous from there, but it fucks our midfield, and leaves us with nobody dictating the play, like you'd hope Maddison would.

However, Maddison was out anyway, and we'd have a similar issue with Kulusevski not being able to fill that role adequately. Kulusevski though does have the legs (and is functionally more suited) to help out the midfield though.

Playing Son there is more like a 442, as he would basically be a forward pairing with Solanke, which would be fine if not for the fact that our wingers would also be playing like forwards, making it more of a 424.

If no Kulusevski, I can't see Ange going wildcard with Moore or Odobert there for a Final, I imagine it'll be the trio of terror in midfield (Bissouma, Bentancur, Sarr) and all out chaosball of lumping on all of the forwards in the second half with nobody to create anything for them once that has failed catastrophically.

So play Son as a 10?

Richy LW, Johnson RW, Solanke CF?
Seems a bad idea to me because it's FOUR players in the side that don't contribute much defensively, and on the flipside, also don't contribute much offensively...

:ange-hands-head:

I know there's going to be a temptation to come back at me with g/a stats, and I'm not saying they're irrelevant obviously, but in terms of in game performance, that quartet ain't going to control it, and that will invite constant pressure on us.

I just don't think we can get away with playing like shit here and coming away with the trophy.
