Surprisingly confident by my standards too. But also worried about the officiating & VAR. 1 harsh call against us could decide it. & the other issue is they usually turn up for finals & we don’t. But they are average & we always beat them lately. Just a shame we lack creativity at the moment.
For Spurs, when there are less minutes on the clock than there are goals required for the other team to beat us, only then is it comfortable.
Ange's second season. The unstoppable force of nature. We could face anyone, Barca or the lads from Shaolin Soccer, it's all just for show. Nothing can stop us.
In all seriousness though I'm about 5% nerves but mostly calm. I just feel Ange has something to get us over the line in this cup run. We are due something to go right, even just this season let alone past injustices and miseries. If we can keep things tight and calm with our best back line and Vic as we have done recently in Europe that will be massive. For me Richy has to start, I want his fire and bullishness, then Sonny could come on second half and probably have more impact against tired legs.

Most finals are not high scoring games. In fact three out of the last four Europa League finals have ended 1-1 and went to penalties. If you look at the FA Cup final it only had 1 goal deciding it. Our last European final had 2 goals deciding it and our last game against United only had 1 goal in it.
Therefore, if we do win, I think we need to be capable of winning it 1-0. If you can keep a clean sheet and not give away a penalty you will probably have won the game.

If we go for a defensive midfield three and keep our full backs where they should be defensively the shape should be enough to stop Vicario being needed, except for the odd pot shots. We are capable of doing it but don't do it very often.

Football fans always tend to overthink these finals, but I think as long as we keep a clean sheet and score a couple of goals, we will be fine.
