It's rare for us to do it but when we have gone more pragmatic, kept our full backs sitting, and respected our opponents, it has worked out better.

Casemiro will be motivated monetarily. Bruno is their best player. If we have a plan to mark both of them out of the game it could work out.

UEFA use a different semi automatic offside to the prem lge. Chip in the ball I believe . Seems to work better than ours. 6 minutes yesterday at West Ham for offside as there were a number of players together . Similar one a few weeks ago. We’ll be ok .

That’s good. Yeah our way doesn’t seem to work if there is a crowded box. Takes forever.

Not against them this season though. When we’ve gone for it we’ve blown them away and they haven’t been able to cope with our pace, power and aggression. I think we should start the game like that and I’ll be angry if we don’t. We’ve the rest of the game to then revert to late europa league round mode.
 
It’s 2 crap teams with injuries so it’s a 50/50 call. Advantage for us is recently we usually beat them. Advantage to them is they turn up for big finals. But it’s a very tough game to predict.

I'd be more inclined to see it that way if we still had our best two creative players available. As it stands, if Ange starts with Sarr and plays the first half as defensively well as he did against Bodo away, I would not blame him. If we have a clean sheet by half time it is progress in a European final for me.

I know but we don't have any MF that can defend. He'll have the duty of marking Bruno. He's job won't be to make match winning passes but he's got the physical play that will throw Bruno off his game. I wouldn't ideally have Bissouma as a No 10 either but he is the only one I believe could possibly make Cassimero's life a little more difficult.

It's not by choice I think that team will work but rather out of necessity. If Bruno and Cassimero are delt with, we stand a way better chance
