Whats the alternative? I tried to create a plan with Son in the 10 but as anothe roster pointed out, it quickly turns into a 442 or 424 as son won't have any midfield discipline. Neither will Moore or Odobert.

The only solution is Gray or Sarr playing beside Biss with Bentancur moving into the 10. On current form, Gray is not ready for the final so we are down to Sarr.
If you play them together, midfield weakens considerably, and they're always good for a goal to the opposition. We've seen this plenty of times though Sarr is a bit better.

Could go with a 4231 and really go on the offensive, playing more defensive with Biss & Sarr isn't a good idea as we are a very leaky team.

Take the game to United as they''re pretty shite anyway. Start the defense from the offense. Get right in their faces, fcuk them up, beat the uttter shit out of them.

Spurs can't risk more injuries now - Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou has signalled he will rest key players when Tottenham play Aston Villa on Friday as he "can't afford to lose another" to injury with the Europa League final less than a week away.

Midfielder Dejan Kulusevski has become the latest first-team regular to suffer an injury that will rule him out of Wednesday's final in Bilbao against Manchester United.

Fellow midfielders Lucas Bergvall and James Maddison are both also set to miss the final, while defender Radu Dragusin is a long-term injury absentee after suffering a serious knee injury in February.

Head coach Postecoglou rested several players against Crystal Palace last weekend.

Plans to field his strongest side against Villa to "sharpen up" for the Bilbao trip may now have to be scrapped.

"The reality of our existence at the moment is we can't lose another player to an injury," Postecoglou said. "It's just too finely balanced for us considering what's at stake.

"Look, in a normal world you use this to be sharpening up, but we're not living in a normal world.

"Even with the best planning we're still getting hit with these setbacks. From my perspective I've got to take that into account when considering the [Aston Villa] game."

He may take the opportunity to try new combinations in midfield.

"We've always had to try to find creative ways to cover the absences we've had and we'll find a way to do that again," Postecoglou said.

"There's obviously a few players who will play [on Friday] who haven't played regularly or a lot lately who will get an opportunity."

Spurs are 17th in the Premier League table - one place above the relegation zone but out of danger, and one behind United in 16th.

Both Europa League final sides have endured dismal domestic league campaigns but the winner next Wednesday will qualify for next season's Champions League.

Tottenham have not won a trophy since lifting the League Cup in 2008.

I think this is what we’ll see, and tbh given the options I don’t hate the idea of Son at the 10. He hasn’t been effective at all on the wing, I’d prefer almost any of our other options there. I guess Bentancur could be another option but I don’t know who you then pair with Bissouma.
I kind of do, but also reckon it might be the best available option.

It doesn't suit his game at all though, if he plays 10 then the 10 is a forward, whereas usually our 10 is more part of a midfield trio.

Son isn't going to drop back and do that job, nor is he a playmaker that will dictate the game and pick a pass.

Stats will show that he gets assists, but those are a totally different type of assist. And for every occasion he gets in behind and spams a cut back, there are 9 others where he simply turns back on the wing and plays a ball to the cms.

Still, it's a more inspiring option than Sarr joining Bissouma and Bentancur, all we can hope is that for one night he can be an agent of chaos in that role.

Although, I'm dubious due to him playing there in an open training session, could just be a mind game anyway.

pretty misleading from what he actually said in the press conference tbf. A reporter asked if radical solutions like Dom playing deeper or Porro playing attacking midfield was on the table to which Ange replied that you go through all the possible scenarios. Ange didn't specifically say he wouldn't rule out playing Porro there.

Sounded more like Odobert or Moore in the 10

Also think Reguillon will play

Edit: talking about Villa not Weds. obviously

I've decided to go to the Coach n Horses for this match - I'll be there from 4pm to meet up with friends who are going to the stadium.

Thought about going to the stadium but I think it's gonna be a bit shit if I'm honest & I'd prefer the pub.
