Manchester City were the much better team but Sam Boroudjou is fearful for what this result means.

Haha nice try franchise boy.Sorry boys, yet another bitter article full of jealousy. All teams are happy to take money from just about whatever source. Can't see anyone deciding not to take part in the FA cup because it's sponsored by Emirates (another dirty oil money source albeit from Dubai rather than Abu Dhabi). Didn't see Woolwich turning down the very lucrative sponsorship for their stadium from Emirates and didn't see Spurs turning down the filthy luca from City when they sold them Kyle Walker.
Let's be honest here, City got lucky that they got a shedload of money to spend on infrastructure and the squad. If it wasn't for the impending FFP (ludicrous FFP, but that debate is for another day), they would probably have spent far less and would have grown at a slower pace. For maybe three years, they've run at a profit. They're doing much better than break even. I hear you cry foul that they get money from Middle Eastern sponsors, but the impact of those sponsorship deals is quite small compared with all the other sources of income currently swelling their coffers from all sorts of sources as far afield as Japan and South Korea (those deals are rumoured to be worth up to £20M a season I believe which is serious potatoes). There's still gnashing of teeth at the Etihad 10 year sponsorship deal at £400M, but that splits down to £100M for the academy (exempt from FFP, so academy player sales are almost pure profit), £250M for the shirt sponsorship and £50M for stadium naming rights. These are in no way excessive amounts when you consider that Chelsea are getting £40M a year from Yokohama, Liverpool are getting £30M from Standard Chartered and Woolwich are getting £30M too. City only get £12M a season from Nike for their kit deal (rumoured to change next season to £50M a season. United get £75M a season, Chelsea get £60M, Woolwich's Puma deal is worth £30M a season but they are rumoured to be moving to Adidas for up to double that, Liverpool supposedly will get £50M a season from New Balance, so City are far below their peers in terms of kit deals, yet no one is complaining that they aren't getting enough!!!
But UEFA have accepted City's numbers without qualification and they aren't related party transactions (UK auditors and UEFA agree upon this). And, by the way, New Balance are a Boston based company, as are FSG, the owners of Liverpool, but people aren't up in arms about them both being from the same city.
Other clubs could have spent more money to buy players to have a greater chance of success. Shock and horror these days, but spending money is generally linked to success. Spurs maybe could have built their new ground a few years earlier (pay the steel company more money as that's what it's about) and they could be getting many more 10s of millions through the digital turnstiles. They could, and maybe should, have been more interested in what happens on the pitch and winning things rather than bank balances and the balance sheet. From what I've read, ENIC seem to be just in it to make their investment more valuable but won't take the risks necessary these days to try to achieve footballing success in the pitch.
All this financial and other stuff aside, City just got lucky. They won the jackpot, lottery, call it what you will. The same jackpot or lottery that most other fans wish upon their own club. If Abramovich had taken a fancy to Spurs, Woolwich or even West Ham, nearly all of their fans would have accepted his 'dirty money' with open arms if they thought it meant success on the pitch.
Complaining about other clubs won't help or change the situation. Enjoy the football on show, even if it's through gritted teeth, but don't let your envy or jealousy spread into something much more ugly. It won't change anything and may just make you look and sound foolish.
Merry Christmas
Why are you here Bob? What is your purpose?I see almost the full house of jealousy, envy and bitterness.Just Bile missing. Let's be clear here. I don't normally read stuff on here but had a look yesterday as many people seemed to be taking the piss out of you guys, even Spurs fans, for your one eyed commentary.
Are you boys appalled that you took City's filthy money for Walker? Wasn't so long ago that many Spurs fans thought you'd mugged City off and Trips was a better defender anyway. How did that turn out for you?
You can say whatever you want about the financial/legal stuff but most on here will not understand anything you say. Suffice to say, UEFA have cleared everything. The only issue seems to have been with pre FFP contracts wages being written off (something like that) that City were convinced were acceptable but UEFA suddenly decided were not and fined them for breaching FFP. If they were that contentious an issue, City could have just manipulated the Etihad deal to enable them to comply with FFP. Because that's what City do isn't it?
The Etihad deal was at market value. You know that but it doesn't serve your agenda now does it?

I write in other forums, even Spurs ones but his one is just filled with hate and jealousy. I generally have decent, honest debate. I'm just stating it how it is and actually furnishing you boys with some facts because your blinkered one eyedness isn't good for your health. Why are you here Bob? What is your purpose?
You look like a complete cunt coming on here with you patronising tones dishing out the accusations. Don't like what has been said then tough shite old cunt chops, it's being said about City up and down the entire country from every single club. If you you don't like what people think no need to get all worked up about it buy going on to rival fans forums posting a mammoth bore of a post about club accounts, it makes you look even more of a cunt.

All over the country, people who actually go to games are clapping City off the park. They can put the rivalry aside for a moment or two to accept brilliant football. And you know what? Most City fans don't feel the need to take the piss or belittle them. We've been through our dark times. We know how it feels to support a badly run club that wins nowt.
You can keep your racist, bile ridden comments as you are in the minority. As well you know.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

it wont be man city in the world league. It'll be New York City. Cos the dippers and Man Utd will be invited before they are. wont want a world league without one of the worlds leading cities (which is why i think one of the gooners and the chavs will likely get an invite).Couldn't move for the united fans who stayed behind to clap city off the field after there 2 gifted goals from lukaka and holding the ball in the corner flag for the last 15 minutes?
If your so fucking good at playing attractive football then why didn't you press on and make it 3-1?
And you talk about most city fans?
Dream on boyo you have no real fans, you were shite before 2008, but at least your club had a soul, you sold that though to the arabs, now with your dirty oil money your club is nothing, enjoy the fake titles as they mean fuck all when it's gotten like this, won't be long before your in a league with PSG and Barca and you can all take it in turns playing in the UAE and china, enjoy it mate, it's what football is about for you plastic cunts!![]()

It is what it is. You guys are so paranoid and deluded that you take the truth and twist it into being patronising.
If you don't like the Arabs/oil money etc. Guido, then stop supporting Spurs who clearly love their money. If you're so appalled, then stop supporting Spurs because they are tainted by association. But you're too much of a hypocrite to do that,
Still, I wish you boys a very merry Christmas.
