Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Say we got bought buy some Arab/Russian/whatever the fuck owners, who then invested in the same manner Abramovich and Mansour have done at their respective clubs, How would you react?

Personally I'd bin off football completely. That buzz when you beat a team that should be miles better than you just wouldn't exist anymore. You'd go into every game expecting to win, and anything but would be viewed as a failure.

I'm interested to see how everyone else would feel about this.

Spurs have a history of breaking transfer records...

Bitter when we complain when it’s not us

Anyone remember when maxwell nearly bought us? He was rich.

Loads of clubs have been bought and it hasn’t made them all walk the league.

I really don’t think previous situation are in anyway comparable to Chelsea and now in particularly City and PSG, it’s a totally different level.

What it means potentially long term is that only teams with insane amounts of cash can build anything.

Would walk away.

Not interested in Arab money or Russian money or wherever it comes from.

We are Tottenham super Tottenham, we are Tottenham from the Lane.

Proper football club with proper supporters

If you wouldn't get a buzz from spanking the likes of Woolwich, United, Chelsea on a regular basis thats down to you.
Personally, I'd fucking love it and every victory would be sweeter than the one before, and every trophy a moment to savour.

I’d stick around for the novelty of seeing us winning every trophy, then get bored and eventually do some of the housework I’ve been promising my partner I’d do for the last 5 years.

The football aside I would worry more about the match day atmosphere in the stadium.

I know that overall the all seater stadia and gentrification of the game in the sky era has resulted in shocking atmosphere's at stadiums but the apathy at man city tonight was embarrassing.

I remember going to Maine road a few seasons ago and it was always a good atmosphere and a lively away day, tonight they sang a half hearted blue moon in injury time with a picture of a blue moon on display........ cringeworthy, embarrassing and utterly plastic. I really hope our club does not become like this.

My in-laws are City fans. From stalybridge. They wouldnt swap mansour and his money for anything and love the fact they can finally match the wealth of United and there billions of glory hunting cunt fans.
Why should we be the ones to take the moral high ground?
If the scenario did unfold, I suspect that most of those saying they'd walk away would have second thoughts

I've been disillusioned by the modern game since the inception of the Premier League, tbh. My problem is I can't stop supporting my team, whatever happens. Although I've never witnessed a League title win, I have been lucky to have seen some of the best players to have graced a football field in a Spurs shirt and some special cup wins. The last two years I have witnessed some of the best football consistently played by my team and it was just our luck not to have some silverware to recognise that.
The short answer is that it would take a heck of a lot to make me walk away from Spurs, I have invested too much emotional support to do so.

I don't ever want us to become that. I do want us to be better off than we are now for sure. But only so much so that we have a squad who play great football most of the time and are in somewhat regular contention for trophies at domestic and European level. I don't want us to have that oil rich stink about us or become too entitled where we take everything for granted. I guess the closest example would be the Borussia Dortmund of a few years ago when they won some stuff, got to the CL final, all with a young exciting team and they clearly weren't the richest in their league. I know it's a lot harder to do that in this country cause there isn't just one version of Bayern for us to overcome here, but 3 or 4.

I like the way we do things. I'm proud that Spurs are a club whose values are purely football and family.

There's a fascinating article in the Guardian about City's plan, under Soriano, to expand the "business" of football. I never want to be part of that.

I think we’re all lying to ourselves unless we admit that this influx of mega rich spenders is ruining the game.

Actually, maybe a better way to describe it is that it’s changing the game. From a community-based, working man’s game to a global super-franchise market where the majority of fans have never even been to the club’s city, let alone a game.

Think about what the future will be a time this rate - a breakaway global super league with only the mega clubs, even more money being lobbed about and every stadium like the library packed full of plastics. It’s rubbish, but it makes money....so it’ll probably happen. Sad really.

I’ll always support Spurs but I would care a little less as time went on I reckon.

Very few clubs aren't owned by rich bloke(s) with egos.... For me it's about where the money has come from.

I was too young to be socially/politically conscious at the time of Maxwell's supposed take-over, but the thought of it makes my flesh crawl now.

FFP was meant to protect us and the game from this bullshit.... Obviously it was/is bollocks!

We've got a billionaire owner. People seem to want to have their cake and eat it, they want us to compete by spending money but not too much.

Prem football is fucked and i go far more regularly to non-league these days.

Weird synopsis....

- Some want us to spend more to compete with the richer teams even if that means spending beyond our means.
- Others respect what we are trying to achieve with the current model.

....It's not one conjoined stance.

Would give up on football.
I’d hate it more than I hate the
