Ill ask you. Simple question. Did you disapprove of our club willingly accepting 50million oil soaked bank notes off Sheikh Mansour last summer? Should we have told him to fuck off and take his grubby businesses elsewhere?
What has that got to do with my post or your previous one? You know exactly where I stand on our RB stance, I have been attacked on my views for the past two seasons regarding it, and far, far longer than that when defending Walker when most thought he was shite. This are football decisions, absolutely fuckall to do with ownership.
Now back to my post, don’t deflect and change subject. Answer the question, don’t bottle it John.

What is your question? You didnt ask me one.?
Now, answer mine. Forget who the player was. Were we morally correct in banking Mansours oil money last summer or should we have told city to fuck off

Why the fuck are you asking me that? You have me confused with another poster.
You are bitching about our owners being a business, I’m saying that is exactly what professional football is and has always been, knowing this why are you bitching about it/them? It was a business before you supported the club (just like all the other clubs) but you have such contempt for it.

Ok. My main bitching point is this. Since the summer of 2012 we have a lower net transfer spend than 18 of the current 20 premier league clubs. That suggests to me that we could have invested more in the playing squad and maybe won a trophy or 2 along the way. Even pipped Leicester for the title. I think our apparent mantra that we have to break even each window is not befitting of a club of our stature. In short, id like us to act more like big football club and less like a long term capital investment

Say we got bought buy some Arab/Russian/whatever the fuck owners, who then invested in the same manner Abramovich and Mansour have done at their respective clubs, How would you react?

Personally I'd bin off football completely. That buzz when you beat a team that should be miles better than you just wouldn't exist anymore. You'd go into every game expecting to win, and anything but would be viewed as a failure.

I'm interested to see how everyone else would feel about this.
Agree. If we were bought by a Mansourovich type then we would be a different club. I’d watch football as ever, but i’d lament the death of the club I loved. City and Chelsea fans who think their club has achieved something are even worse than the plastic new fans. I feel embarrassed for them actually

I know all this John, you are like a stuck fucking record, you say this after every bad result, you never stop saying it. But I made no reference to this, I made reference to your comments about the club being a business and I made my comment precisely about this, nothing else. Nothing about morales, nothing about Fullbacks, nothing about transfer strategy.

Now having hopefully got this clear, what’s the bitching about?

So whats the fucking question?

How many of those clubs have built a state of the art training ground, and are currently building a new stadium?

If you wouldn't get a buzz from spanking the likes of Woolwich, United, Chelsea on a regular basis thats down to you.
Personally, I'd fucking love it and every victory would be sweeter than the one before, and every trophy a moment to savour.
I would rather we were playing in the combined counties league than be what chelsea and city football group are

Ive watched games in that league. I was done with football at that point. but the utter joy i got out of going to places where tickets are sold by a man with an old bus conductors ticket machine (Hartley Witney)..of going to see football in towns where there are no licensed premises or cashpoints, but they still have a football team (Ash United..one away siupporter. goes every away game and spends 90 minutes bellowing ash..ash...ash united. deserves more press than the wealdstone raider, IMO), or where the chairman personally comes round and thanks you for coming (Merstham) pulled me back in.

Rather that than PSG (a club younger than me), the chavs, or City Football group.

Go back through the thread if you are struggling to keep up, all the inference is there if you consentrate hard enough.
Thing is guido, Tomo wrote that we are owned by a businessman who sees us purely as a long term investment. With which I agreed.
You then suggested that 99% of clubs have always been run that way and why do I complain.
Well football clubs havent always been run that way. They have traditionally been run as a sustainable business whos main objective is success on the pitch, not a long term profit yielding asett
