Every club broke their transfer record last summer. Some twice over. Even the likes of Burnley, Huddersfield, Palace and so on.
Of course we fucking would. We would all celebrate the trophies we'd win. Let's not kid ourselves.
Thing is guido, Tomo wrote that we are owned by a businessman who sees us purely as a long term investment. With which I agreed.
You then suggested that 99% of clubs have always been run that way and why do I complain.
Well football clubs havent always been run that way. They have traditionally been run as a sustainable business whos main objective is success on the pitch, not a long term profit yielding asett
You couldn’t be more wrong, the moment a football club becomes professional it’s in it to make money. The owners, be they fans or not, all use the club to further their own personal wealth be that directly from the clubs revenue or boosting their existing businesses profile as a result of owning the club or both. This can be traced as far back as the day we and all clubs became professional in 1800’s, all owned by wealthy local businessmen all with an angle. With the exception of PSG, City and Chelsea this remains the case in all non-fan owned clubs today, even the fan owned clubs the lines are blurred.Thing is guido, Tomo wrote that we are owned by a businessman whos only goal is long term capitol gain. With which I agreed.

Although we were told by the man himself that none of this would impact our transfer budget. Do you think he was lying
I see. So you're saying 99% of football clubs have, through history, been run as a means to further the owners personal wealth and business profile. And you're more than happy to see our club continue with this bold and noble tradition. I get itYou couldn’t be more wrong, the moment a football club becomes professional it’s in it to make money. There’s no point arguing with John. He is a spoilt brat, more more more is all you ever get from him. If you disagree it’s because you have a losers mentality. Because all winners always continually bitch and moan about how shit their team areHe said that several years ago. Things change. And let’s say he was lying. So what? It’s not exactly a good idea to publicly state that we have financial restrictions when in the business of buying and selling players.

What exactly are you disputing? That they are not businesses?I see. Also in some cases there was civic pride . Directors tended to be local "black and white days " and there was a kudos if your team did wellYou couldn’t be more wrong, the moment a football club becomes professional it’s in it to make money. Apparently Mark Zuckenburg from Facebook might want to buy spurs, is that allowed?
On a serious not though I think it will be the end of football that we all love, but maybe once every club is owned by a billionaire the playing field will be levelled again.

And we simply reinvested the Walker (arab) money.
So, whats your point?
