So we go into the final game of the season with two outs to secure us Europe. I’m pretty sure most would have been happy with that back when we let go of Poch down in 14th place was it?

Do what you have to do Tottenham and the rest is left to one of two games where Chelsea will be favourites. Europa would be a decent return from where we were a long way back and constantly up against it for a whole multitude of reasons.

We should have beaten more of the shite this season but what has really cost us is 1 point from the 4 games against United and Chelsea, our competitors. Even a modest return of say 4 pts and we'd be looking at top 4.

Those Chelsea fixtures really were an inexplicable shitfest..... Complete lack of bollocks. :(

United: Undone by a couple of soft penalties.

Agree with that.
Looking back there's too many points dropped both pre and post Jose era.
Fresh of my mind are the fuckups with Sheffield and Bournemouth. Only because they are recent.
We should have taken full points against ManU as well.
What could have been.
For a while there not only did i think we could not partake in any European comps, but we may well end up behind the pricks up the road.
Not a bad finish after a very disrupted season.

Let's not beat ourselves up. Sure, we were unlucky not to beat Bournemouth with the help of VAR. But we 100% deserved what we got against Man Utd and Sheffield United. And we could very, very easily not have beaten Everton. Results on the whole have matched performances since the restart - good, but nowhere near good enough to win every game.

In the end we finished 7 points behind Chelski.

If we had got 3 at Sheff U and 2 more at Bournemouth we would still have had to hold out against Man U.

Realistically it would almost have had to be a perfect record post lockdown.
So congratulations Chelski and thump the living daylights out of Woolwich.

Maybe less underestimated us, and more didn't think Wolves would only get 1 point from their 3 away games.

Season is played over 38 games rather than 14 (people were already writing the season off before Poch left!) or even 35.... Fancy that.
