Will Harry Kane Still Be At Spurs The Start Of 21/22 Season ?

Harry Kane doesn't need to do anything.

I expect him to run his contract down and decide what to do next then.

Levy held him to his contract and he has honoured it.

Whatever he does I will always wish him well and be grateful for the time he spent playing for Spurs.

Probably Spurs all time greatest player.

For those in any doubt;

Glenn Hoddle never scored a goal, in open play, in any North London derby ever.

The best Glenda managed was a penalty in a League Cup tie against them which Spurs lost.

Hoddle won a few pots for Spurs but Harry Kane has never let us down.

One of our own.
Why do you have to denigrate Hoddle, to praise Kane?
Why are you comparing Hoddle's goal scoring record to Kane's?

No he's not the greatest player of the last 50 years. He is though the best centre forward/goal scorer I've seen (I'm 60) and will likely become our highest scorer. Those who saw Greavsie play for us may well say he's not as good as Greavsie when you compare goals per games and the fact he won trophies. He is not better than Hod imo (but then no one else I've seen is). Comparing goal records between a midfielder and CF is pretty pointless. Kanes passing is wonderful, but not quite at the level of Hod's.
Hod may not have scored much against the Goons, but he did score/create goals in finals and win medals.
Important though it is now to get top 4, it's never going to match the thrill of seeing your team actually lifting a (any) trophy.

I wonder what, or if, the chairman's end game or ambition is for the club.

It's an incredible testimony to the player that so far the vast majority of supporters in here appreciate just what loyalty Harry has given to Spurs and yet would completely understand if he put in a transfer request should we fail to perform this season. He really is 'one of our own' and a club legend.

I'm claiming that he wouldn't leave the Prem because he wants to beat Shearer's record? Who says he has to leave the Prem to win trophies, he could run his contract down and sign for another top 6 club.

Not sure why that is proving difficult to comprehend? :nunothumb:
WTF is actually wrong with you

Utter dunce

You said that he wouldn't go abroad because he wants to beat Shearer's record

I believe that he would consider leaving the prem in search of trophies if he had to

I think you're just trolling tbf

Depends on how the season plays out. I think Kane will want to stay in the PL as breaking Shearer's record is a massive thing for him.

City do not spend big on older players and they have Haaland and Alvarez for his position already. Liverpool do not spend big on older players either and after spending £85m on Darwin I don't think they will want to get gouged by Levy. Chelsea and Woolwich obviously out of the question.

If he leaves it will be to United. They have shown they are willing to spend huge money on older players and they are a legendary club. He could do exactly what Sheringham did if he goes there.

If we finish top 4 and Conte extends, I think he will stay. If we don't and United do, I think he will go there. I think at this point Kane is concerned only with breaking Shearer's record and winning trophies, we saw last summer that he is not a one-club man anymore. To keep him we have to offer him a better chance of doing those things than Manchester United do.

I can't see this transfer happening out of the blue, given its size and importance.

If Kane will leave, we will know months in advance.

If there is one transfer that would be able to brake my heart, it would be Kane leaving without a trophy.
(I wouldn't disagree with his decision in that case)

Staying at Spurs, at the end of his current contract, might be Kane's best option.

All players look at the money first in my opinion. The trophy and Champions League theories are for the supporters to indulge themselves with.

If the money isn't right then the player usually doesn't sign the contract. If the player can get money and medals then that is usually the preferred option.

However; Kane will put his families needs ahead of all other criteria in my opinion.

He's a solid fella.
I'm honestly surprised players aren't running down their contracts more, by far the most lucrative bet they can make on theirselves. Becoming more common, and I think in the next generation it will start to become commonplace.

Can't see him signing any contract.
He has served us well and we have been lucky he has stayed so long , considering at one point he was arguably the best striker on the planet.
There is nothing for him at the club , ittle chance of a significant or any type of trophy and a impossibility of any sustained success.
Richy no doubt was bought as a long term replacement but once again is a downgrade to peak Kane .
It's just how the club rolls .

Impossible to replace Kane though.

But the problem the club has is that Lloris, son and the whole defence also need replacing. There is no way we will do that effectively. One, we are historically shit at scouting and two, the owners.

We need to either get very lucky in the transfer market getting every transfer right or need to spend hundreds of millions for the next few summer windows. Honestly can anyone see that happening?

There is no upgrade to peak Kane outside of Haaland and even that’a debatable. We can beat the club with a lot of sticks but replacing him is almost impossible. Ultimately it all comes down to Levy not going for it with prime Kane at 26 and realising it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I seriously doubt he cares that much about the record

He wants to win trophies

Deluded to think he'd put the record above some actual silverware

"No Bayern Munich, I can't join you just yet as I have to get this goalscoring record. You can stuff your guaranteed titles and chance at European glory!"
