5 shots on target doesn't include Dier hitting the post and Dele bending one just around the outside of the post.

They utterly dominated possession and played much better football than us, but on the whole, their actual chances were fairly weak and easy to deal with. I only recall Gazza making 1 or 2 actual saves rather than simple catches.

I know Lucas' goal was easy on the eye, but I'd swap him for Traore all day.
Traore has scored 8 goals in well over 100 games. He is a poor man's Antonio.

Come on, credit where it's due.

He created it himself and lashed it with little backlift and at such pace and position that a decent keeper was left floundering.

Other than that, he did very little apart from losing the ball that led to their goal.

I'm not sure what to make of Lucas!

We had plenty of chances to stop the goal after Lucas lost the ball. He lost it in the Wolves’ half.

So now it's OK to lose the ball as long as it's in the opponents half? 20 seconds after he lost it, it was in our net.

If it was an isolated incident, then I'd be prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he does it several times a game.

He hit the nail squarely on the head. We’ve been playing abysmally for months, results started to match, a manager who was one of the most highly regarded in football, who most thought was unsackable, was sacked.

Mourinho has come in and tinkered with a couple of things but the three decent teams we’ve played have still made us look pretty poor, and highlighted our inability to control games, and two of those - ManU and Wolves- aren’t exactly top drawer teams who normally dominate possession and Bayern aren’t the Bayern of old. And we still lost control and conceded goals to shit teams like West Ham, Bournemouth.

We were extremely fortunate to win that game yesterday and if we keep ignoring what our problems are - and the biggest one is a glaring lack of ability to play any football through our midfield - then we will continue to struggle, or at best stand still as a team.

This time last year we’d made our best ever start to a PL season and there was the same debate, half on here saying “results are great what’s the issue” and some saying “these results aren’t sustainable with the level of performances”.

Jenas was bang on the money, the only surprise is how it’s taken anyone in punditry land so long to actually highlight it properly.

Mate u need a little patience, and Jenas is a bit of a numpty,

What both u and Jenas need to do, is listen to one of Mourinho's early interviews, remember he has only been here for three weeks.

Mourinho said he does not see Sissoko as a CM in his team, and he catergorically has already stated, he wants a player who is positional and the other the player maker, as his midfield two.

With our current personel there is nothing else he can do, Dier needs games to get up to speed, Winks might make it as a squad player and Mourinho has given him opportunites to stake a claim, Ndombele is always injured and not up to speed in the premier league same as Le Celso, who's best position is Ali's position and lastily we have been playing a game every two to three days, not enough time to do much, as the next two days after the match is normally used for recovery.

The most important thing at this moment time is the results, come Jan if we can make one or two dealings, great otherwise wait till summer.

Patience ?

I've been waiting for Dier to get up to speed for 4 years and watching Dier and Sissoko masquerading as midfielders for 4 and 2 years respectively. It's already got one manager the sack.

Why instead of giving Dier games to get up to speed, not give those games to Skipp to get up to speed, allow him a few stinkers to maybe develop into potential busy c*** who can also play a bit of football ? Or even give them to Wanyama to get ups to speed, a player proven to be a better 6 than Dier ever was or will be when he was "up to speed".

If he can't find two decent midfielders to play his CM2 system then why not switch to a CM3 system?

The most important thing at this stage isn't purely results, they will just paper over cracks the same way they did for Pochettino, it's solving a problem that has been killing us for more than 18 months now and finding sustainable medium/long term solutions to problems that will keep finding us out, like having an midfield that isn't fit for purpose.

And Lo Celso's best position isn't necessarily as a 10 or AM, he played mostly as an 8 for PSG (and does for Argentina) and in a CM3 is a very good one.

Jenas can be a numpty, as can most footballer pundits, but not this time, he was bang on the money and he showed examples of it. But a couple of us have been actually posting similar examples vids and clips. Dier and Sissoko were constantly putting us under pressure with their inability to play football and defensively Dier was pish. Go and watch him ambling around for their goal.

The daily whinge - why not start your own thread - All that's wrong with Spurs by football expert Blakey - that way we can just ignore the entire thread.

Having your daily anti Spurs rants cropping up all over the site is very tedious ... especially as we all know what they will say before even reading them.

Sissoko is shit - Dier is shit - Spurs are shit - it's not even decent trolling anymore, just repetitive boring nonsense.

You're like that weird bloke that sidles up to strangers in the local and asks where they are from...
And you’re a little rodent with Twitter for a personality. You’ve not said one original thing since you’ve been here Arthur - just 30+ published tweets a day begging for likes. You come over as a needy twat. I don’t know what provoked this, but you carry on.

Disgusted by the result we should have been disappointed to only draw never mind lose. They are a bunch of cheats. One of our best performances this season, deserved so much better

Calling us a bunch of fucking cheats! They've got themselves £92m in debt according to their profit and loss accounts trying to weasel their way into the position they are in at the moment and they've got the front to say we are cheats? Fucking inbreds!
