Odd that there was so little chatter in the media after the crazy hype bubble surrounding them and their new gaffa burst and led to them having a shockingly shit last 1/4 of the season.

Seems this guy is still the man to beat. :nunothumb:

Not enough goals in the team, simple as that tbh. Jimenez has come back from injury half the player, the backups to him are shocking, they've got a collection of meh wide players of which only Pedro Neto stands out but is a sicknote, and only Neves seems to add any goals from midfield.

They're solid enough with some decent technicians in the side but up top there's nothing to fear. I know people aren't fond of him on here but losing Adama hurt them imo, he was a great option to come off the bench or start vs top sides. He'd have hurt Liverpool badly on the break in their final game.

5 points in the final 9 games is dreadful.

Leeds (H) - L
Villa (H) - W
NuCastle (A) - L
Burnley (A) - L
Brighton (H) - L

Chavs (A) - D
MCity (H) - L
Norwich (H) - D
L'pool (A) - L

Sure, you can give them a pass against the top3, but they absolutely pissed away a European spot considering how crap WH & Man U were during that spell.

Yeah, their form was awful. It's what happens when you're relying a lot on 1-0's and tight victories. Once the momentum is gone you hit an awful run, like we did with Jose. They tried to play more 'progressive' football but they're fundamentally built to be a counter attacking side, and they don't have the attackers for it.

Under Nuno when Wolves had their best season they had a sharp Jimenez, Adama was having his best season & Jota was there.

Wolves must be odds on to go down. O'Neil is a poor replacement for lopetegi and they've lost a lot of the squad with few incomings

Wolves probably need to sell players before the end of June to avoid ffp type issues ?

Wolves losing £184k per DAY due to high wages being paid, despite being a solid mid table ranking team.

Any PL club losing that much a day deserves to go out of business. No sympathy for me for trying to cheat the system and then struggling financially.

If they weren’t losing that then maybe they couldn’t afford to pay those players that helped beat us last time out and we’d have won?

and they'd say they need to try to 'compete' ! But of course its simply cheating by abusing the rules of the games as set out by the current ffp rules

In all honesty any club outside the top 6 probably cannot afford to pay any player more than £100k pw - but too many players (or their agents) are demanding that from all potential employers.

Needs to be a total mindset reset - starting with discussions at PL owners meetings.

The revenue inequality (and , therefore, competitive imbalance) between Wolves and the real super cheats, Chelsea and Man City, have created this situation. Wolves, to their credit, are trying to compete against a deck stacked against them.
