I wonder how many of the countless billions of multiverse have us winning?

1?.....2? Can't be many.

Of course anything can happen....... If Son has one of those games where everything he touches turns to gold then maybe we've got a chance.

Problem is, even if we go 2 nil up.... I can see us shipping a good few as well.

I'm giving you fair warning. If, at any point, I see that you're not singing and not shouting your guts out, I'm going to get the stewards to eject you.

Right?

I'm talking to the players here (I know you're reading this)...

If I can see that you're not giving 100% effort, I shall personally enter the field of play, take you down the tunnel and escort you off the premises. You can come back to collect your belongings on Monday.

I actually think having Davies back can make us less likely to concede from the left.
Any word if Richie is going to be fit?
:royaltongue:

Let’s pray this bellend isn’t scuttling about in MF and Porro starts. Agree re: Davies, let him tuck in behind the CB’s and cover, don’t push him into the middle third

Maybe it's my bias or imagination but teams rarely seem to have stinkers against us.

:ange-facepalm2:
That's because we're capable of out-stinking them all...

Seriously though, I think that this says more about us than the array of opposition.

Seems like a lot of sides that we've laboured and scraped a win against, drawn or lost against, have then gone on to receive absolute tonkings shortly after.

They can't ALL just be raising their game against us. We seem to have a weird knack of raising or lowering our game to suit the opposition, so we're rarely ever either much better or much worse than the oppo...

I’m looking forward to this. It’s our moment to win and end any hopes they have of a title.

They are no great shakes, good players of course, but the man baby in charge of them means they compete on emotion, get under them with a big baying crowd and they will melt.

I agree with you, but they have a horrible habit of bouncing back after a disappointment. And we're not exactly pulling up trees at the moment.
Still, always hopeful at the start of a game, anything can happen 🤞

Absolutely normal to feel nerves and dread heading into a NLD. You never want to lose to them under any circumstance.

I just hope the players understand the importance and aren't heading into the game expecting defeat like the fanbase seem to be.

Udogie had Saka in his pocket at their place.

It’s stopping odegaard getting the ball in those areas to make the pass to Saka is what needs to happen. So more work by the attack and midfield on that side before the ball even gets to the danger area.

I've seen Sessegnon mark Saka out of a game. Davies will be fine with van de Ven covering.

We will miss Udogie's power and ability going forward (though let's be honest, he's a fucking dawdler on the ball).

Davies to his credit at least passes the ball quicker.

Fair enough. But my overall problem is that Davies can’t play the inverted fullback role in Ange’s system and will be asked to. If it is him and Emerson playing the Udogie and Porro roles in exactly the same way then we might as well all stay at home. They can’t do it and playing like that expecting them to is sheer stupidity.

I think Porro will start tbh

If Davies or indeed Emerson is playing they have to hold back 20 yards, be a defender and cover that wing properly - this may just force Ange to do what many of us have been thinking for weeks, push ONE fb forward and leave one back to help cover counters.
Sarr and one of Bents or Biss have to drop back a bit to control the ball as well imo. Cannot let them have comfortable possession or be out of shape when we lose it.

I'm not at all nervous, the only fear I have is Michael Oliver being the ref.
I'd put money on us getting at least one red card and they will have a penalty.
Nahhh. He's a true pro. Unimpeachable.
