Okay, so look, it was the International break abyss and we had no intention of doing a podcast this week but thought, hey why not, so we did. We even had a running order that consisted of the Stratford bid collapse, the return of David Pleat, Newcastle away, Rafa v JD, Europa League, some forum discussion stuff pertaining to ‘is it right for a Spurs fan to charge in excess of £100 for a NLD ticket?’ and a question via email about singing at the Lane. Sounds like a lot, doesn’t it?

Turns out when we sat down to record we ended up with 90% of it consisting of mum jokes and then trying to get Engineer Al laid.

Spooky was sad, Trunk was sick, Dan was smashed on cider, Ricky threatened and Flav sucked in his burps.

Just download it anyway to listen to Windy’s feature on Spurs yoof.

Soz.

And don’t forget: Love the shirt.

Some watery arguments regarding ticket sales. At the end of the day we live in a capitalist society and most people are involved with buying things and selling them for more money on a daily basis.

Watery? What’s watery about not ripping off a fellow Spurs fan?

Last year, I had an awful experience with trying to by tickets for Spurs. I live in America (dan can sympathize) and I was hoping to be able to come to London and see the Super Spurs play. Having been forced to follow spurs through 2nd-rate coverage on FOX Soccer, or a semi-legal internet feed, i was pumped that we were planning to come to the UK. I had one week, and I had two matches to choose from: Arsenal on the Wednesday at home, and West Brom on the saturday. I thought that the tickets might have been steep, but i was shocked at any number i found online; any website or spurs fan I talked to quoted me at least 400 pounds for 2 tickets to arsenal, and nearly 200 pounds for two tickets to see West Brom. There was no way we could fit this into the budget, and we ended up not even taking the holiday. I don’t know whether it was fellow Spurs trying to make double their money, or trying to rip off some ignorant American, but I was extremely disappointed. Hopefully, when I attempt to come to London again (Wolves at home, hopefully) I can find tickets from a true Yid who can help a Yank out.
