The pitch, the stands, the Cockerel looming above the sea of Lilywhite. The lights, the flags, the cups and the glory. Football, the sport that captures our imaginations, steals our joy and can have us screaming with delight or pain with one deflection or unlucky bobble.

It’s what unites us in voice, and devides us also. On Thursday though, on 23 minutes we shall unite across the Lane and remember that it is only game. It never has and never will be more important than life.
Against Dnipro we will remember Tom Van Haaren, a Spurs fan, a part of the 1882 movement and listener of the The Fighting Cock podcast, who had his life cut short at 23-years-old by cancer. His father and friends will be in attendance.
On the 23rd minute clap your hands and remember #ForTom and take this opportunity to not only celebrate his life, but the lives of those you held close but have now departed.

Hi boys, brilliant podcast! Always listen.
I just wanted to say that I was diagnosed at 23 with Hodgkins Lymphoma… I am now 39 and I am very lucky and grateful to be out the other side.
I usually don’t reply to things like this but this time I felt I had to. What yourselves and the brilliant 1882 movement have been doing and are doing this Thursday is nothing short of inspirational and amazing.
Tom Van Haaran has been taken far too young! I hope his memory is served very well and his family know that the Tottenham Hotspur fans always look after and respect their own even if it is through the chanting and singing of his name.
My deepest sympathy goes to his family.
