Tottenham have done incredibly well in the last one month despite being without the duo of Harry Kane and Dele Alli. Both players have been missing for about a month now but nothing from the results on the field has shown Tottenham have missed both players. Don’t get me wrong, manager Pochettino would certainly like to have both players in his team in the last few games but so far, the lily whites have not dropped a single point since both player went down to injuries.

The betting odds didn’t favour us winning all our matches after Son went for the Asian cup and Alli and Kane got injured but we have surprised everyone. A look at the betting odds for the Premier league shows we are third behind favourites Manchester City and Liverpool. You may check out the latest betting offers available, listed on this page. Although I agree we are not favourites for the title but with Manchester City ( who have played a game more than us ) just five points ahead of us, we surely have a part to play in the title race. We however need our players to stay fit.

Harry Kane towards the end of January picked up an ankle injury and was ruled out for over a month and the game after Kane’s injury Dele Alli also developed an hamstring problem. Many thought the injuries to both players coupled with Son having to play for Korea at the Asian cup would see Tottenham drop points but they have instead been going strong – although that is partly helped by Son’s early return from the Asian cup.

Early diagnosis suggested both Kane and Alli will be back in the first week of March but it appears Kane could make a comeback this weekend against Burnley. However, Dele Alli may yet not return in early March if quoted attributed to Pochettino are accurate.

“He’s good. We’re happy. This muscle injury is different. He’s in the last part of his recovery. Difficult to know, maybe one week, 10 days, two weeks. In the last period, a key part of his recovery. We’ll see because we’re going to assess him day by day.”

With Tottenham looking like they are through to the next stage of the UEFA Champions league having beaten Dortmund 3-0 at home, we really do not need Alli for the Champions league second round return leg in Germany but his return could be very useful in the Premier league. Although if you ask me, we do not have a chance of winning the league this season but can go very far in the Champions league and Alli and every of our player being healthy will be helpful.
