Tanguy Ndombele 

Tanguy Ndombele has already proved himself to be one of the most promising transfers of the summer, after scoring his debut goal with Tottenham on the opening day of the season against Aston Villa. Harry Kane then scored a late double, securing a  for Spurs and getting the season off to a great start. 

Tottenham broke their transfer record this summer when they signed Ndombele for £63 million. The midfielder has a versatile and very physical style of play and is an excellent passer, while also adding some much-needed midfield depth to the team. It was announced in June that Etete would officially be joining the team. Ryan Sessegnon Spurs signed left-back Ryan Sessegnon for £25 million from Fulham. The 19-year-old player is a talented midfielder who’s very quick on his feet. He displayed excellent control of the ball during his time playing for Fulham. Sessegnon is a versatile player who has proven himself to be able to adapt to any situation. He is a welcome addition to Spurs, and a very smart one. 

Giovani Lo Celso

Argentine midfielder, Giovani Lo Celso joined Tottenham on loan from Real Betis. The 23-year-old is an excellent dribbler and possesses great passing technique. Lo Celso’s arrival is sure to strengthen the team and will likely complement Dele and Lamela’s playing style and be able to assist with more goals. 

Pochettino calls for Premier League to change transfer deadline

For the second year in a row, Premier League clubs voted to close the transfer window before the beginning of the season, but the European transfer window will still stay open until the end of August. Pochettino has said that it was a “massive mistake” for the Premier League clubs to vote in favour of closing the transfer window early, and has since called for the Premier League to bring the summer transfer window back in line with the rest of Europe. A number of executives from other clubs have expressed concerns about this early closure, since it means that rival clubs overseas may have the opportunity to swoop in and buy players from English clubs at a time when teams are vulnerable.

There is no doubt that Tottenham will benefit greatly from the new players signed to the club this season.
