The new Tottenham Hotspur manager is the epitomy of marmite; love him or hate him, Jose Mourinho lights up the Premier League with his entertaining style and ridiculous stories.

The Portuguese national is currently managing his fourth side in the Premier League and there’s no double that a number of punters will be taking advantage of all of the bookmaker free bets as Spurs host Bournemouth on Saturday with the London side desperate to climb the table.

To pick out just ten of his past moments was difficult, but here are those that have made the list.

Charge of the Light Brigade

Having won the Europa League with Porto in 2002/03, Mourinho qualified for the following season’s Champions League. Manchester United were Porto’s opponents in the Round of 16, but their 2-1 first-leg advantage was cancelled out by a Paul Scholes effort in the return leg at Old Trafford.

But, against all odds, a Costinha goal in the final minutes sparked scenes of jubilation and a hilarious charge down the touchline by the Portuguese manager.

A nickname that stuck

That Champions League victory and the overall success in the competition with Porto in 2004 – which no bookmaker saw coming – convinced Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich to bring him to Chelsea. Almost immediately, Mourinho created quite the impression, declaring in his first interview that he was a “special one” following his European triumph.

That nickname stuck and Jose has since gone on to be one of the true entertainers in the sport.

Something Nou at the Camp

Mourinho’s second season at Inter Milan saw the Italian giants win the Champions League, but that was after a stunning semi-final triumph over Barcelona. A 3-2 aggregate victory ignited wild celebrations, including Mourinho’s charge across the pitch where he briefly tussled with Barca goalkeeper Victor Valdes.
