The Premier League is currently in full swing, and it’s a chance for fans to get together and enjoy the action on the pitch. It’s also the perfect opportunity to make sports bets. An explosive start

The team is currently 7th in the table. Remember that Tottenham last won the Premier League in 1961 ! The numerous victories in a row at the beginning of the league, notably against Southampton (5-2), Manchester United (6-1), Arsenal (2-0) showed a dynamic team in great shape. There have been a few draws, against Chelsea, West Ham and Crystal Palace for example, in which the team has played well. The defeat against Everton, Tottenhma Hotspur’s first game, was quickly forgotten. The game against Manchester was a real triumph for Spurs. During the match, the Mancunians were increasingly aggressive, notably Anthony Martial who headbutted Lamela and Eric Bailly who violently stepped on Son’s heel.

And then, a slowdown

Unfortunately, this wave of success did not last, and in the Tottenham-Manchester match, the trend was clearly reversed : Manchester United took a big step towards qualification for the Champions League thanks to a crucial win at Tottenham, who were leading. Spurs, on the other hand, are in a very bad position and are now six points behind the top four. It is a tenth defeat in the league that confirms the difficulties of José Mourinho‘s team. In his 21-year career, the Portuguese coach has never suffered so many defeats in a single season. The losing streak began in the game against Liverpool, a match that pitted two completely different styles of play against each other. The Sprus did their best and the problem is it wasn’t enough. This statistic alone says it all: 75% possession in the second half for Liverpool. Lately, Tottenham were held to a 2-2 draw by Newcastle and missed out on a crucial win that could have lifted them back into the Premier League’s top four. Despite a brace from Harry Kane, Spurs suffered a late equaliser from Willock and paid for their lack of commitment throughout the game.

At the start of the Premier League, Tottenham were given a top five finish by many bookmakers, will they manage to climb back up ? In terms of players, the team can count on Harry Kane, the top scorer, but also the one who made the most assists and on Gareth Bale, the Welshman who is back in great shape for the end of the season.
