Football is not the same without the cheers of the fans. Football fans witnessed some stunning shots, goals, and defending this year that will be long remembered in the history of the Premier League.

Manchester City emerging as the champions of last season, winning their seventh league title, but it wasn’t only City’s season. From Aston Villa winning big on home soil against Liverpool after 20 years to Kane and Son’s never before seen duo performance, the Premier League had plenty of memorable moments to offer.

So, without further ado, here are our favourite moments that will be cherished in the history of the English Premier League for years to come.

Tottenham’s Win Over Manchester United and the Duo Performance

Tottenham witnessed their most significant victory over Manchester United this year, thanks to modern Spurs legends Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min. This duo was the match’s highlight with two goals under their credit.

This was the Spurs’ first big win over United in years, making this a significant victory and a big loss for United fans. It is also worth mentioning the  stunning collaboration and performance of Kane and Son throughout the year.

Against Southampton, Son was able to score four goals with the help of Kane. Additionally, he added to the goals against United with a 6-1 win. Both Son and Kane bagged more than 20 goals during the 2020-21 season.

Aston Villa Win Over Liverpool

Ollie Watkins emerged as the man of Aston’s historic match against Liverpool. The 90-minute match between Aston Villa and Liverpool was unforgettable for the entire fan base.

The first victory over Liverpool on home soil after 20 years was nothing short of exceptional for Aston Villa. Villa defeated the mighty Liverpool team with a stellar score of 7-2.

Foden’s Exceptional Performance

One of the best mid-fielders of Manchester City, Phil Foden, gave a standout performance at the Premier League this season. Roy Hodgson finally bid farewell to Crystal Palace after four years with the team. Tons of fans witnessed the farewell of Hodgson after his final match on home soil. This saw the best turn out of spectators and Palace fans in a long time. Hodgson received a thunderous greeting and farewell from fans and the team alike, and met it with visible emotion.

Football is nothing without the roar and support of the fans. After the pandemic, everyone was happy to see the stadiums back to normal again. Stadiums all over the country were once again alive with the passion and cheers of football fans. England’s big six clubs wanted to join Europe’s best to create a European Super League. This led much protesting among the fans of all clubs, forcing them to withdraw from the Super League. This may not have been celebrated by the clubs’ owners and managers, but it was widely celebreate by football fans.
