Time to predict

Football fans will be eagerly awaiting the start of the Premier League in August, to see how their teams perform with new additions – managers and players! When it comes to predicting how next season will turn out, there are a few factors to consider, such as last season’s performances, new signings, and transfers, as well as which teams are likely to be relegated. Midnite Sports Betting allows you to bet on your favourite teams, whether that’s Premier League or something further afield. Below, we’ll look at a few tips and tricks to help with your 22/23 football predictions.

Last season

Before we dive into the coming season, reflecting on last season will help us to get a better idea of what to expect later this year. As soon as the season finishes in May, football fans across the country are ready and waiting for it to ramp back up again, and with Manchester City taking the win from under Liverpool’s nose, many fans will be waiting to see what next season has in store for the champions.

With what seemed like the demise of Manchester United, fans will eagerly be awaiting their new manager to make changes for the better, but will they be able to make a comeback within the Premiership? And not forgetting clubs like Newcastle, that have recently been taken over and seen an injection of cash – will they be able to climb the table this year with money and new signings behind them?

Below, we’ll look at some of the factors that can help us to predict what may happen within the premiership next season, like the transfer window and any new singings that may be the making of some teams, as well as early predictions on which team could take the league, and which could see themselves in the relegation zone.

Transfer window

The summer transfer window is open from June to the start of September and is a crucial factor to consider when trying to predict how the 22/23 premier league season is going to pan out. Here are some of the most exciting signings so far, that could have a huge impact on the success of various teams within the league this year.

  • Erling Haaland to Manchester City: The champions have confirmed a deal to sign Haaland from Borussia Dortmund this summer. The striker is set to replace record goal scorer Sergio Aguero, so you can expect Manchester City to be dominating once again next season with goals galore from Haaland. There is speculation that you may even see him win the golden boot.
  • Darwin Nunez to Liverpool: With the departure of Sadio Mane, the Reds will be looking for someone to take his place, and they may have done just that by signing the Uruguayan forward Nunez from Benfica. Could this give Liverpool a chance of heading back to the top of the Premier League table this year? Can Nunez win it for them next season?
  • Gabriel Jesus to Arsenal: With the arrival of Haaland to Manchester City, Jesus will have felt like this was his time to leave the champions and head to Arsenal for the upcoming season. The Gunners have agreed to a £45m deal with City for Jesus – this will be their fourth signing this summer, but will their new signings lead them to success next season?

22/23 season predictions

Looking at the transfer window – who is moving and where they are going – can be a huge help in determining how the next season could go for your favourite team. Whilst it is still too early to start making accurate predictions, there is already speculation about how the next season will go.

For example, Manchester City are still the favourite team to win, and with the addition of Haaland, this could end up being a safe assumption. Liverpool still stands as the second favourite, but who knows if 22/23 will be their time to shine, and finally overtake Manchester City. With new ownership, Chelsea could also be a team to keep a close eye on – they reached the EFL and FA cup finals, so they still stand a good chance when it comes to the Premier League.

Other Teams to watch are Tottenham if Antonio Conte continues to work his magic and Manchester United, who did not have the best 21/22 season, but with new manager Erik ten Hag, could they be restored to their former glory? Newcastle United ended last season on a great run, so it is expected that they’ll be aiming for a top half of the table finish. It is worth keeping all these variables in mind when attempting to predict how the 22/23 season will go.

Relegation

Predicting who is going to find themselves in the danger zone in 22/23 is just as important as trying to figure out who is going to come out on top. Usually, you can predict the teams that are most likely to face relegation by weighing up how strong or weak they are, and it’s generally easier to guess than trying to predict who is going to win!

The weakest teams in the league for 22/23 could be Leeds and Southampton based on previous years. Fulham, Bournemouth, and newly promoted Nottingham Forest could also find themselves at the bottom of the table – but who knows! Maybe they will find themselves coming back stronger.
