After finishing the season in 17h place, Tottenham and its fans look for drastic changes in the upcoming 2025/26 season. However, this won’t be an easy task. Plus, there is a new manager at the club and several changes will occur during the transfer period.
Some believe that Thomas Frank will turn things around and fight for a Champions League spot. Others don’t see Spurs finishing in the top half of the table. Continue reading to discover our Tottenham predictions for the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Betting Sites Predictions for Tottenham for the 2025/26 PL Season
Before we give out our own predictions we would like to reveal what bookmakers have to say about Tottenham’s potential. For this, we check the odds these platforms give for Spurs winning the league.
The odds for Tottenham becoming champion vary from 45/1 (46.00) to 70/1 (71.00). These odds are super high at the moment, which shows how sceptical bookmakers are about Spurs’ chances of winning the Premier League.
Compared to other teams, PayPal-friendly betting sites put Tottenham as the 8th favourite for becoming champion. As such, we can say that most bookmakers believe this team will finish the season in the 8th spot. This is an unfortunate league position as it doesn’t lead to any European competition.
Predicting Tottenham’s Style of Play
Last season, Tottenham played an open and attacking football under Ange Postecoglou which didn’t provide any results in the PL. But, it did lead Spurs to the Europa League title, the club’s first trophy in the past 17 years. However, this success wasn’t enough for Ange to keep his job.
Now, under Thomas Frank, the team will most likely change its style of play. This new manager prefers a more balanced approach without too much dominance in ball possession. When he played with Brentford against bigger teams, Frank focused entirely on discipline and counter-attacking.
This approach can be of serious help for Tottenham as the team lacks defending discipline. Last season, Spurs conceded 65 goals, making it the 5th worst defence in the Premier League.
But, tactical changes aren’t enough as the team is in desperate need of new and better players. So far, the club managed to sign Kevin Danso, a centre-defender from Lens, and Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich. The latter is a fast and very skilful winger who can be of great use for Spurs.
Tottenham also signed Luka Vuskovic, an 18-year-old centre-defender from Hajduk Split. However, the team needs a couple more signings to become competitive.
A striker is a priority as the team never really replaced Harry Kane. Dominik Solanke didn’t provide what the club expected of him, much similar to Timo Werner. Tottenham also needs to sign a strong midfielder who can connect the defence and the attack. Eberechi Eze is one of the top targets for this position.
If Tottenham and Thomas Frank succeed in strengthening the squad, then they have a good chance of a top position. But, the team also needs a strong bench and a much better mentality compared to last season.
Tottenham’s Final Position Prediction for 2025/26 Season
Predicting Tottenham’s final position for the upcoming 2025/26 season is very tough at this moment. The team has a new manager and it’s currently working on drastic squad changes.
We should also note that Spurs have some pretty tough fixtures in August and September. The team will go against Manchester City, West Ham, and Brighton away. We must not forget its UEFA Super Cup fixture against PSG on August 13th.
A bad start will cause a lot of trouble for the team and the new manager. The team may end up with similar problems as last season where the team struggled to keep a winning streak.
But, if Tottenham succeeds in getting a positive start, then we can expect them to dream big. This is crucial as the team will also play in the Champions League group stage, which adds more matches to the schedule.
On paper, Tottenham has the potential to fight for a top 5 place under the right guidance. But, we must not forget that last year 8 teams were fighting for these places. Due to the big competitiveness, we believe that Spurs will end up somewhere between the 5th and 9th place.
