For most people football is just a hobby. For the Tottenham Hotspur players it’s a full-time job that takes up almost all their time. Between the endless training sessions and matches, it’s hard to find even an hour of free time. Still, everyone needs to switch off and do something they actually enjoy.

Here’s how they spend their downtime – and where https://pokiesworld.com/ fits in.

Supercars and Fashion

A lot of people imagine top athletes living lives of pure luxury – and they’re not far off. Sure, not every footballer likes to flaunt his wealth, but plenty do. For the ones with serious money, their hobbies usually come with big price tags and good taste.

Son Heung-min

Not every Tottenham player has genuine style to match their football talent. Son Heung-min pays serious attention to his image and presentation, just like on Pokiesworld. It’s no accident that many call the South Korean the sharpest-dressed player in the Premier League. He’s earned a reputation for his high-end wardrobe and supercar collection, especially his Ferraris and Maseratis.

Fans spotted Son’s expensive hobby immediately, and opinions were split right down the middle. Some criticised him for throwing money at pointless luxuries, while others loved his sharp taste. Still, one of Tottenham’s best players can easily afford it.

Sadly, after ten years at the club, Son Heung-min left Tottenham in 2025. Yet fans still remember the elegant, hugely popular – and sometimes flashy – South Korean.

Pedro Porro

Another player who stands out is Pedro Porro. He’s also known for his love of high-end cars and good clothes. That’s normal for wealthy athletes, though some go even further and spend time on sites like Pokiesworld. Unlike Son, Porro prefers to spend most of his free time with his family, so he doesn’t often feature in luxury lifestyle talk. Even so, he has plenty worth showing off.

The Spanish player prefers stylish but understated brands. His collection is mostly German, French and Spanish luxury cars, with a clear favourite in Mercedes-Benz. That said, Pedro doesn’t show off his cars much, so it’s hard to know exactly what he owns.

Golf and Charity Events

Golf, on the other hand, isn’t exactly a mainstream hobby. Not everyone enjoys the slow, almost meditative pace of the game. But there are exceptions.

James Maddison

The best-known golfer at Tottenham – and probably in the whole Premier League. As well as playing well on the course, he runs his own charity event. It’s genuinely impressive – even Pokiesworld has covered the real impact of the event.

Every year he hosts a pro-am tournament over 18 holes at the Centurion Club. The event attracts stars, businessmen and politicians, and pulls in spectators and players from all over the world. What started as a golf hobby has become one of the biggest charity events in football, raising money for several foundations:

  • Noah’s Ark.
  • Ladybug Lodge.
  • Tiny Tim’s Children’s Centre.

These tournaments aren’t exactly serious competitive events. James is there to have fun above all else, not to chase titles. They even have fun rules and activities that would never be allowed in proper competitive golf. Both the host and the guests love it that way.

Son Heung-min

Son used to appear regularly at these events while he was at the club, although he’ll probably show up less now he’s gone. Back then he played alongside his teammates every year. Sites like Pokiesworld covered it in detail.

For many players, though, playing in the charity tournament was as far as their golf went.

Active Outdoors and Nature

Staying active is the main way most Tottenham players relax. Everyone has their own preference – some like mountain hikes and skateboarding, others prefer cycling around the city and beyond. Unlike collecting cars or clothes, staying active helps them stay loose between training sessions and keeps them fit in the off-season.

Micky van de Ven

This Dutch player is hooked on electric bike rides around London. Micky regularly heads to Hampstead and Primrose Hill, where he’s become a regular at the local cafes and restaurants.

He’s also a huge tennis fan. He never misses a Nadal or Alcaraz match and often plays himself in his spare time.

Dejan Kulusevski

Dejan goes a very different, classic Scandinavian route. Instead of spending time on Pokiesworld, he tries to hit the sauna as often as he can, followed by an ice bath and a swim.

Kulusevski is also a big hiking fan back home. Every summer Dejan spends at least a week – sometimes a whole month – back in Sweden by the lakes, fjords and mountains.

Pedro Porro

The Spanish defender’s downtime is much more relaxed than his teammates’. Pedro enjoys spending time with his family on Spanish beaches and at resorts. Back home he has three Shiba Inu dogs, and walking and looking after them takes up most of his free time.

All in all, Tottenham players – with a few exceptions – aren’t that different from regular people. They enjoy family time, trips to the countryside, or just relaxing in the sauna. But if you’re after something more dynamic and adrenaline-filled, Pokiesworld is worth checking out.
