Toby had an uncharacteristic game, with the yellow card, which is rare and giving the ball away in the box, not to detract from a fine season.
West Ham may have ended our title hope, yes let that sink in, this season where Chelsea, City, United and Liverpool had strengthen their squads considerably, we got in to a title race where we, on paper, had no chance o being in that race, most of us would have delightedly taken a top 4 place. I accept that we're very likely out of the running and tonight we had some rare lapses, I think on balance deserved to lose but I can't feel too angry, the chance of a 4 point swing before the game was minimal and that still remains.
West Ham will enjoy their win, but ultimately, their fans will have to travel a soulless bowl on the outskirts of a shopping centre, they will have to endure being run by a set of chairmen who have a twitter presence similar to that of Donald Trump and they will still be wondering to themselves, had that team out there tonight put in the same level as the rest of the season they might not have been so wretchedly disappointing.

its not us who have to be patient, its the players and I don't think they will wait too long, £200K a week is hard to say no to
We had enough chances to win it though, we just didn't take them. And their goalie was decent to be fair, the save with his foot in the first half was quality.

Have to keep our heads up and put in a huge performance in the final game at the lane. Even if Chelsea clinch it by then It is not just tonight that's cost us. It's our away form all year. We rarely beat West ham away and this was always going to be a very difficult game. Against a team that has nothing to play for. I do think it was a very risky decision to play walker if there was the slightest doubt over his focus. Maybe it wouldn't have affected the overall performance of the team but the fact that he had a bad game says it all.

The thing with West Ham is that losing to them is so annoying because they're shit. Nothing to do with rivalry for me, similar to Leicester in that respect.
