Ofcourse all top 6 are stronger now.
Westham signed 2 players in 1 day! The spent £24m on one player. It is a bit frustrating but another 44 days to go
They're not necessarily stronger - they just have different players who have to be integrated properly. Were we stronger after we spent the Bale money? Fuck West Ham - simply signing any old player won't improve them - have you watched them recently?

Except I haven't, not once

I haven't moaned about any of the squad at any point.

I have never once disputed that

But like I said, all you football grown ups who think it's all super seem hell bent on ridiculing those that question this narrative, however mildly.

LIke I said, your reply, quod erat demonstrandum

So this isn't bed wetting...

Seriously, if we can't sign a fucking 13 year old from Fulham, a boy from Argentina who has played seven (count 'em!) times for a second-rate outfit or a third-choice goalkeeper from our manager's alma mater who actually played for us we might as well pull the plug on this thread and accept that Shiloh Tracey and Samuel Shashoua will be featuring against Chelsea on 19 August

Tracey and Shadhoua will not be featuring in the squad against the Chavs as in reality there will still be the same players as last season featuring on the subs bench. As for Sessegnon he signed a new deal which should be commended as he's still developing as a player and more likely to get regular playing time. Juan Foyth is still very much in negotiation. And Lopez can be had for free in year's time.

Would you want Joe Hart or Arnoutovic ? if not politely stop melting.
It seems to me the people melting on here are those like you who can't seem to accept that some of us have serious concerns about our transfer activity.(or lack of) As soon as someone brings it up, a load of you fill your fucking nappies and throw your rattles out the pram.

Edit. For our American friends, nappies are what you call diapers.

Daily Mirror and all... but since 99% of what gets posted in this section is fantasy anyways, I'll repost:

Tell you what, I'm actually excited. Lamela and Son have both gone through what Vincent and GKN have (he's shit, get rid) in their first season and then torn it a new one once they had a full pre-season.

As far as I'm concerned we have two new signings already... though I'll concede they still might turn out to be rubbish.

Who knows, with a nice summer in the US Poch might even take our massive French steamer and roll him in glitter. Fun times.

If you are on twitter I highly suggest you go through the thread of Michael Cox, one of the most respected writers on tactical analysis there is.
Early this evening he launched a well reasoned attack on an ESPN jorno who put this poll up on twitter.

Even if you or those others who think we are having a nightmare, you should read it. Even if you still think the same i would be very surprised if it didn't calm you down a tad.

Just read that Michael Cox thread, talks so much sense yet many cannot seem to understand that buying new players isn't the guarantee of success compared to keeping a highly developed squad together.

I genuine would not care if we didn't, even with Walker leaving.

It's funny that we've lost a RB and everyone is spunking at the thought of signing another central midfielder.

I mean, the consensus hasn't even swung to a priority replacement for Walker among the "Must Sign Someone Now" crew.......it's just anyone. Sign anyone.....spend 40M on Barkley to sit on the bench, with no comment about the loss in our back line.

We could sell Kane, and one week when the rage is gone, they will be fawning over some back up for Lloris to appease their cravings.

Sign him up! Sign him up!!!!!!!!!!!

:avbfacepalm:

I'd like to strengthen the squad....not sure what you mean by that.

I won't pull my cock off if we don't sign anyone though. And I don't just want anyone.

I'd rather Winks get fit and game time than Barkley, and the same for Lamela over Lemar. Id like to use Wimmer than sign Mawson, and I'd be happy for Janssen to get going than sign Josh King.

Hopefully Onomah will shine this time round on the back of his fantastic summer. I'd rather that than spend 60M on Mr X.

That would be strengthening too....

We all want to strengthen, but some of you are so desperate for signings that the lines are blurred as to what is ACTUALLY going to improve us, and what is just simply a signing. Because you want one.
Calm down

Don't bother mate they still don't get it, it's been proved over 3 seasons anyone who wants to get better under Poch and can hack the pack will get better, solved the Dembele problem, turned the head of Eriksen and Jan back to loving the club, turns punts like Dier and Dele into England regulars, Rose and Walker from Jokes to world beaters and now you see the same incline in form in the next full back set

Technically when Poch came along we got 12 new signings instantly as they become different players than those under AVB/Weasel, and they get better all the time, I would rather have anyone who has been training with Poch than anyone out there that's why it's tough to improve

Wanyama was the uninspiring signing last summer in the shadow of Janssen and now look, if Barkley or anyone comes and wants to give Poch their best, he will at least double their value and they will contribute to another successful season

It didn't occur to you that by calling Sessegnon a "13 year old" indicated that I just might have been exaggerating?

Look feller, just block me or whatever it is, I can't be fucked anymore

Don't think Wanyama was uninspiring. I though he was going to be a beast from the get go. How right i was.
Signing of the year if the press didnt hate us as much as they do

The thread diverts off to another (so when on his page click his reply tab) but he absolutely destroys one bloke who thinks he is being clever by saying we will be the same, reminding him that our points total we got last year would have won the title in all but two years in the history of the PL ergo if we stayed the same there is a 95% chance of us winning the league by staying the same.

In another, I like that he even uses the brainwashing by twitter banter and the media bashing of Spurs, calling "bottler" tag a meme that people have bought into.
