Didn't read it sammy. I know you wouldn't have come up with a team who regularly wins titles & does not spend big.
& I know you have changed your mind lots to suit your argument, & you will change it even more if poch changes his.
You make up stuff like we want to buy a list of about 10 players & spend about 300m when not 1 person said that.
Throw in a straw man & you putting words in others mouths & that about sums up your posts.
Lets leave it there.
no. the question has always been who regularly wins titles not a title.
My slight concern with Mahrez is his work ethic and attitude. Plus has he had more than the one good season?
You said that we have to spend big on transfers. I said that I a) don't think we do, and b) evidence is clear that big transfer spending has no relationship to success. The club that spends the most on tranfers isn't the team that wins every time.
As I said before, professional sports, being professional, means that the club that spends the most has often the best chance of success. But the best chance doesn't mean that they always win.
Now, I notice you're eager to move the goalposts from just being about transfers, to being about transfers and wages. If you're going to suddenly change your argument after being wrong, try to have some honesty about it.
How many thousands of pounds would you need to pay someone to re-read every post of this entire thread in one go?
In fact could anyone do it without willingly gouging their eyes out with the nearest dull implement and ramming their fingers into the holes to try and end the misery?

I would say neither. I think our only main concern is in getting some right back cover for the departed Walker. Having said that:
a) if Poch sanctions a move for either of them, that's cool with me.
b) it would be nice - but not essential - to find a CM that could provide decent rotation for Dembele and/or Eriksen, which I think Barkley is better suited to. I'm just not really feeling having Ross Barkley in our beautiful team.
Stop arguing and bickering about it thenthe constant arguing and bickering is pathetic on here every time i come on to the forum all people are doing is arguing about crap over and over grow up guys its embarrassing ,if you want to argue about absolute crap get a private room .
You don't think Son and Lamela will be adequate cover for the season?
He's also Algerian I think and they usually make the African cup every couple years. My slight concern with Mahrez is his work ethic and attitude. Plus has he had more than the one good season?
I'd definitely take the chance one him but Barkley would edge it, just, for me.
thank you! some would have you believe that no one on here doesn't want us to spend big despite all the posts saying otherwise.Because plenty see the value in not spending big. Who would you sign for big money? Douglas Costa? Isco? Are either of those players better than Kane or Eriksen? Because they would both be expecting a wage right at the top of our pile.

AFCON is being overhauled and likely to be moved to summer so not an issue... but I still don't like Mahrez. He's also Algerian I think and they usually make the African cup every couple years.
