Barkley and 2 more are a must for us I feel.

The issue is now a matter of whether Levy stares out the Everton financial controller. Whatever their summer outlay they know they must sell by the end of the window or lose a lot of dosh.

Clearly Barkley wants out, now admitted by Koeman and one assumes we are the possible destination for that "new challenge" I hope so and one must assume Liverpool is a no go and neither is City, where Barkley knows he would get limited game time.

Hmmmm.....the other two options and the cost??

Mancity have improved their squad by their new signings, they got rid of their aged full backs and got better FBs now. Beranardo Silva is a v good player.
ManU have improved, Lukaku is better, tried and tested from what they had in 35yo Zlatan and co.
Chels, I think costa is better, tried and tested compared to rm reject morata. Bakayako is a good signing. But they were v strong last year and won the tittle.
ars and liv havent done much to impress and hope sanchez and cottinho leave and they will be weaker.

We are still in good place and could be perfect by the addition of a RB and a striker/attacker.

Citeh have haemorrhaged money on a group of mercs under a coach who isn't good at coaching... Time will tell whether they have improved or not. Remember that for ONE BILLION POUNDS on transfers alone since the oil money came in, they have still failed to mount a proper attack on the Champions League and I don't see Pep shitting the bed changing that any time soon. So for the league? Maybe they will, maybe they won't but it's not a certainty.

But you have to agree they improved their squad by signing players.

We don't yet know who has improved regardless of who has been signed. Right now there are some teams that appear better on paper. Games aren't played on paper. We'll find out over the course of the season whether or not anyone else has improved with their signings.

Agreed, plus a midfielder. Good post. Still need Alderweireld to sign on the dotted line though.

I could definitely see that. Woolwich would def. be willing to pay over the odds for the dubious claim of having "beaten" us to his signing, and their know-nothing fans would think he's the latest and greatest thing since sliced bread.

He'd probably be an upgrade on their current center-mids, too. I don't think he'd start for us.

Nonsense mate. Form determines a starting place and Champion's League sways it our way unless Woolwich far outbid us should it come to that.

Anyway that crowd want that singer!!

No, I don't. They have assembled a more expensive squad on paper. That doesn't mean they have strengthened as a team.

For instance, I actually think that Walker could easily go backwards. I loved the guy but he's thick as two short planks and if he doesn't have someone coaching him to the level Poch did, he could easily take them backwards.

Then you need players like Danilo to be able to pick up the pace of the premier league... Son / Lamela / GKN / Janssen etc. all fucking useless to us in their first season, why should Citeh's foreign imports be nailed on to be any use this side of Christmas?

Now, you spend £120m on fullbacks and you better fucking hope that they have strengthened but lets see where we all are by Christmas.

What people seem to forget is that those other clubs NEEDED to strengthen their first eleven because they were weak in places. They also have a shit load of money to be able to do so.

We have the best starting eleven in the league. We just need to improve our depth. Which we all know will be done, there's no rush for that as long as we can get the players we want (Barkley likely)

Oh no, the big man called me boy.

Yeah. Troll would me more appropriate. Spurs fan my arse

From everything I've heard about DL this is the sort of deal he thrives on. Pay £50m for Barkley now, or wait until he effectively becomes a free agent at the end of the window. If another club swoops in it's not the end of the world (and it sounds like Barkleys head has been turned anyway).

What's that sound?
Daniel Levy, rubbing his hands together in glee
