You cannot claim that for certain - we've turned many players to shit who've gone to blossom elsewhere and vice-versa. Not to mention being part of a different coaching set-up, training, team-mates, etc.

I think the proof is in the pudding so to speak.

They were not great players to start with. The hype preceded them, and the transfer frenzy took over from the reality.

In the years since they were linked, every single one has become a benchwarmers, playing some 10 games a season if that.

I very much doubt we missed a trick on any of them

Yes supporting a player for more than one season is so hipster.

If Josh King is poor in the same time, I guess you backing him will be just a trendy fad.

Fuck me, supporting the players has become a fashion accessory.

Modern football fans, killing the game since City starting doing it the right way.
kingdawson kingdawson

What part do you disagree with?

Will you write Josh King off too then after one poor season and demand a new striker?

Buy one every year?

Fantastic solution, I think you're on to something

Don't waste time with talkshite, they did the same with Dier weeks ago, I heard they are doing the same with Bale to manures... They need to find or even manufacture topics of any trivial...
I was not suggesting they are particularly reliable. I don't like a lot of their stuff. Also, they have been saying Bale to United is extremely unlikely. On the Dier stuff, most of what I heard on there was them saying we won't sell.

I disagree with this logic

No - that just because those teams didn't manage to get the best out of them we wouldn't have been able either. Look how Poch transformed many of our 'average' players
The players have also done that themselves, power of suggestion and other coaches have input as well.
Lets see how well Barkley goes if he is signed

Talksport talking as if Rose is already gone. Also saying he wants to leave. He probably does want to leave if we are honest. He talked previously about wanting signings.
If we sell him, I will be seriously pissed.
Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Remember Levy' s bullshit about the unsustainable market the other week?
He fucking loves it really. Already got an inflated price for Walker. He must finding it really difficult to resist cashing in on a few more assets while the market is at a premium. The temptation must be excruciating for him. Poor chap

The bloke who wrote the story is Miguel Delany, the story say "if they can't get Bale or a winger they might turn their attention to Rose". There are a mass of if's, but and maybe's in there.

The reason why these stories are doing the rounds is there is in actual fact very little transfer business being done, the media is now 24/7 and built up into a frenzy of nothingness. When there are no transfers to report on the next thing to report on is what might happen, or in this case what Utd want to happen. Utd have made no secret in wanting Rose, they wanted him last year and surprise surprise they want him this year, and who can blame them, he is theist LB in the country. The links to him (along with all our players) were being discussed the last ten games of the season after every single game we played 5mins of analysis, followed by 30mins of the squad all leaving.

On here there will be a celebration of the mega bucks transfer fee more like..
When Levy talks about the market being unsustainable he is probably right:
The bubble does burst eventually on rising prices and players traded as a commodity are no different.
The ITK stating that we have identified players early, that they are still our first picks and are waiting on them rings true to me, all this panicking is crap we will sign who we want and need I reckon!
