We had like 13 corners and at none of them did I think we would score. It's a rule going back at least to when we had Ferdinand. Spurs don't score from corners. Maybe Sanchez can help with this

The reason why our wing backs fail to overlap is they lack pace.

Am I the only one who thought we looked better against these lot when Matic was in the side? Dele & Eriksen were unsually quiet today for me. Barely look a threat in open play.

Kane on the other hand bossed their CB's & went past them with ease. Only he & Mousa were up for it.
 
We had 15 corners. What pace did you need? We were passing the ball 2 feet from they goal. We need creativity and a player that can dribble 2-3 players and put in a thru pass. What kind of fucking pace are you ppl talking about when we had Toby and Vert 10m over the halfway line. It takes 3 sets to get in their box.

When we tried to make changes later in the game we had to compromise our defence just to fit enough attacking players on the pitch. Conte, with a weakened squad, still somehow found a way to balance his team and keep it strong. Anything else? Oh yeah, that weird drum sound was shit, and we were slow at taking corners and they defended them too easily.

Knee-jerk rant over, only positive is I'm quite relieved early dreams and pressure of winning the league is away. We'll probably do better now everyone has written us off.

Dele kept having to come to the left and look for the ball because we didn't have an outlet on the left. Davies was not getting forward at all hence we rarely had anyone on the left but Dele.

Alli and Eriksen lacked that bit of pace, hence they will always cut back or try to win corners by blasting the ball at opponent legs. Alli did well a couple of occasions when he nutmegged opponent but like everyone in the team, when in possesion cant play that thru ball as no one is fast enough to make that run.
