From what I was aware. You cannot sign a domestic player on a pre contract agreement 6 months before their contract is due to run out.

You have to wait until their contract is up to sign them.
 
I think we need PACE. PACEY-ness is what wins you games. PACE to beat players. PACE to move the ball faster. PACE to get the goals. We need players with over 85-90 PACE on fifa to win the league

Well, officially. Unofficially, get them to sign a contract, and date it for the day after their existing one expires. Pending a medical. But we wouldn't do that kind of thing cos it would be naughty
