I'm a big fan of this window. Frustrating process but we are definitely a stronger squad. The back line has quality depth and versatility. We've added much needed experience up top with Llorente. And another quality midfielder in Gomes (a very low risk move if on loan). I would love to see one more signing (Gelson Martins) but I doubt we see anything else.

having spent 2 hrs driving home, im guessing this is known: lemar apparently told the gooners to fuck off

but here is a thought: the gooners are apparently awash with cash. yet, the amount they bid for lemar was the proposed sanchez fee added to the oxlade chamberlain fee. i wonder if they have as much loose change as as has been thought, or are they spunking it all on wages?

I agree with your overall point, but I'm not so sure Sanchez will be a starter right away. He's coming from Ajax where they played a back four, and he's still a bit raw. I'm curious to see how long it takes him to actually become a locked in starter.

Almost no new signing starts right away under Poch. He likes to give them time to adapt to their new house, surroundings, language, culture etc. He wants them to focus on life as a human being before stressing over life as a footballer and their performances.

I reckon he'll be a constant starter by October/November in a back 3.

As for being raw, he'll have Toby next to him, who instantly improves any defending partner. Not too worried.

One more thing regarding this window, our squad does not require a big flashy signing. We needed depth and experience. Levy and Poch have done a nice job acquiring that.

I try to stay well away from Twitter, for obvious reasons, but am following it today just to see what pops up.

So many people complaining about the lack of us buying a fast winger. Did everyone just turn into Gibbsy all of the sudden?

Barkley turned down Chelsea apparently...
