Liverpool play heavy metal football in that its kinda shit now and was much better in the 80's

Not a bad afternoon of football. Everything clicked bar the clowning in the first half for the goal. Maybe gave Liverpool too much space but not too bad. Everyone who needed to score today did.

Good choice of subs. Sissoko deserved some minutes after his performance in Madrid and did okay. Dropped deep to start with to allow Eriksen to go up top, and then moved further up once Eriksen went off and provided some decent offensive work and good runs. Stretched Liverpool out.

Dier got to come on and solid up the defense in the final 10, and Llorente came on to sail the ship home.

Now we await the Hammers. Son and Llorente as our starting strikers?

I fucking love Son - he blatantly has no clue what the questions are that he's being asked! :dembelelol:

His grin makes me laugh.

Lovely bloke

Great performance and result. We got the job mostly done in the first half and then slowed down a bit in the 2nd, understandable that we have to conserve energy with the matches coming up. We'll need some rotation as well to keep everyone fresh and happy.

I'm really impressed by how well we have taken to this new counter attacking style for these recent performances. I talked about that exact thing here before, the need to adapt our game to counter quickly instead of the slow sideways passing; but some people weren't having it at all, saying 'that's not Poch's system' or whatever. But as it's been proven now, we absolutely did need to change our game. Those early results this season showed that we can't break down teams with our slow passing when they have bodies behind the ball, but now we can play a different way. Doesn't mean that we will always play this way, but we are certainly benefiting from it right now when we are up against a tough bunch of games.
