The difference now is that we've got Sanchez. He's still very raw, but he has helped us overcome the problems we had last year when Toby was out.No he's a class player and can't wait to see him back but we've lost 2 games (all comps) since he's been out and drawn 3 including today. Not the catastrophic picture the tweet was tying to show.
2016-17 may have been only one place higher in the PL than 2015-16, but that doesnt tell the story of how much better we were. Points, goals for, goals against....huge difference. The only real addition to the team in that time was big Vic. (you could make a case for Walker/Aurier, but I think that would be a red herring). There's the Wembley factor too of course.
All in all, I think the team has done very well so far with so much to contend with.
