Stadium New Stadium

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I have tried, without success, to upload some photos of my visit up to the ground today.

I was surprised that the stadium was smaller in area than but was higher than you'd imagine and it would certainly tower over the old lane. When you're across the road from it, it feels immense.

There is a hell of a lot still to do, I could see the crane on the corner of the South & East Stands lifting and lowering the roof panels. Most of the work was seemingly concentrated around the South Stand, it's quite mesmerising to watch, you could see contractors all over the place and little street sweeper cabs driving underneath the sliding pitch area.

I could see on the corner of the North Stand that blue tiling with 'Established 1882' was almost complete and what I hadn't made out was that the club shop and the Tottenham Experience on that Park Lane Corner is divided by a stair case, there is also a stair case between the club shop and the ground, so you can imagine this area being very busy on a match day.

It looks impressive and I recommend going up and having a look at it.

Those front row seats look a little low...

My guess is that the right hand section has been filled with soil, (a very sandy mixture).
And the middle trays there have yet to be filled. Amirite?
Pretty much. The one on the right has sand in it, which is the sub layer below the turf. The middle one is still installing the drainage layer (the black stuff) onto which sand will be poured.

The middle trays were the last to be delivered so it's not a surprise that they're not as advanced.

I managed to get the stadium cam on telly for a good 5 mins before being instructed to put the wedding back on
I found myself finding stuff to take to the local tip so that I didn't have to watch that bollocks. Don't get me wrong, I have a fair bit of time for Wills And Harry, but fuck me, the TVs coverage was tedious.

When I had finished at the tip I picked up a few bits from the supermarket, it was the quietest I've ever seen it. It seemed only right that I used the time I had saved as a result of the wedding to pop to the pub.

Every cloud....

Not sure if it got covered, but we don’t actually need the other clubs permissions to play at two stadiums.

We actually only need the league chairman to agree to it. Was an article on the bbc the other day.

But I doubt we’ll need it
