Away support in Home section

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I was in the West End on Tuesday and lots of the ticket agencies were advertising tickets for sale for the game. They are not going to ask the buyer which team they support. Don't suppose it will happen at the new stadium? As I mentioned in the game thread, there were several seats available in the away section, why didn't they just move them?

Dealing with away fans in home sections is though.
Ah “Dealing with”... code speak, I getcha

So if you elect to take a low paid job you can just pick and choose which bits you fancy doing?
what I'm saying is that the expectations of some here do not match reality, and the things you say they choose not to do may not be part of their duties anyway. It's wembley not whl, and even at whl many were not spurs supporters so they didn;t care. Stewards are not bouncers and those with security licenses could lose their license if they were to act like it was a nightclub and start escorting people out. I presume that is the expectation , to expel the tourists. It will never happen, even those who have behaved criminally might not get kicked out if they get picked up by cctv unless the supervisor says so, all the stewards can do is tell them to sit down. It's just the way it is in 2018

You sure they are away fans? I bet most of our home “support” abuses our players more than a fucking away fan ever would!! Could be easily confused as away fans

I met my mate after the game and he told me a Barcelona fan was jumping up and celebrating when they scored, he got a few 'slaps' for it. The stewards took him out for his own safety.
And if the stewards identified the obvious ones & fucked them off before any trouble started, then it would shut any of the other fuckers up & save them a potentially dangerous task of having to act after it’s kicked off. Perfectly reasonable to remove them on public safety grounds before it becomes an issue. The cunts would think twice before doing it again and losing their hard earned cash on a ticket for a match they didn’t get to see. Or at least show respect and keep fucking quiet. It’s not hard.

Kicking them out would have another advantage. You could seize their ticket, track the idiot who sold it to them through the membership number and deal with them too.

I not that bothered by European away support in the home end. I have been to several away spurs days and sat in the home ends and was always treated with warmth and smiles.

As long as they are not dicks about it its fine by me. I suspect there will be less availbity at white hart Lane.

I had a big row with a steward at the barca game who started cheering when Messi scored his final goal. Let's just say the wanker will never be working at a spurs game again.

I wouldn’t mind is so much when you consider how many empty seats there were in the Barcelona section. Made their travelling support look small time. It’s not as if it was an away match in a far flung back water.

I agree it's annoying but we have all done it haven't we? I've done it several times myself, I even sat on the north bank at Highbury once. It was 0-0 and managed to keep my mouth shut.

It was always going to be difficult to control at Wembley with so many seats going on general sale. At least it shouldn't happen as much at NWHL with 40000 season ticket holders and no doubt very few general sales after members have got their hands on the rest.

I have done but I had the awareness to not wear a Spurs shirt or cheer when we scored. I really don't understand people who think it's acceptable to cheer when the away team scores. Given it was Barcelona, I expect they probably hadn't been to a football match before.

It was the stewards who I saw outside telling them to remove their scarves, but still letting them through the turnstiles I couldn't believe. If anything had have kicked off, it would have been totally down to those stewards. They even checked their tickets FFS. Just send them round to the away section, it aint rocket science as the away section was empty.

The general level of stewarding where i was sat, stood, then sat, then stood, then sat, stood, sat , stood and so on, was bloody awful on Wednesday. They were clueless. I am sure the two of them were Woolwich scum.

I remember going to see Inter v Spurs when Bale scored the hat trick. They had a section for neutral fans. An area where either supporter can sit. The rest of the stadium was designated for home/away support. Perhaps this is the way forward ?
