13 goals and 5 assists for a struggling Vigo this season. Rumored 25 million release clause.

Please let this be true.

Said a few pages back he'd be my ideal back up striker and I think with his tenacity and work rate there's no reason they couldn't play together with Kane dropping deeper.

Him , Martinez (inter), Mitrovic or Werner would all give us something different to what we have now while possibly being able to create something new altogether.

Also again I want to ask if anyone else has seen much of Kevin Mbambu. Plays for king boys but is the 1st choice National right back for Switzerland. I think he could be a real steal for someone as I doubt he'd cost more than €15m and he's a very big and physical player that also has the legs requires to play as an attacking FB or fill out FWB.

Maxi Gomez looks like a very good player, seems he would offer us something different to getting another Son/Moura type.
Not sure how well he would work along side Kane, I guess most of the time they wouldn't start together.

Kevin Mbabu knows the englisch football. He played until 2016 for Newcastle United mainly in the Premier League 2.
In Switzerland he played for Young Boys, which are the current League Champion. But now he has signed a new contract with Wolfsburg (Germany).

It was also Bale's decision to SIGN said contract. Signing himself to a contract virtually no other team can afford to take on.

It's RMs prerogative not to play him.

It's a pretty simlpe legal situation if you jettison any sentiment; footballing or otherwise.
Of course it's their decision to throw away 15MM euro a year and not play him. It's a stupid one, but it's their call.

I'm not sure why you seem to be criticizing Bale for signing the contract. Maybe i'm misunderstanding, but he's not obliged to sign a contract that other teams will be able to afford. And I could have easily missed it, but I haven't seen him asking to leave and demanding other clubs match what he makes now. He seems content to not play and collect his money. That's his choice, and RM have to pay him. Let this be a lesson to others.

I agree that it's a legal situation. They have a contract. He needs to show up to work. He does that, and they have no cause not to pay him. Once training is done, or if he's left off the team sheet, he can go play golf or do whatever he wants.

It's not my motivation to criticise or side with either party.

No-one was at gun-point, both parties willing entered this contract.

I just see a lot of blinkered emotion seemingly based on "Boooo.... Galactico scum club" vs "yay... ex-yido" - C'est la vie, but it's a red herring.

As I said a few posts ago; legally this is a pretty simple situation.

Ah okay.

I don't care for Bale or RM either way. I view it pretty simply. If RM want him gone, then pay him. Paying him to sit is a bad business decision. They're going to have to pay him. I can't see him not showing up when that is literally all he has to do. Either play him or cut your losses by negotiating a buy-out and letting go elsewhere. Neither side is a victim here, neither side evokes much sympathy from me. Both seem petulant and seem to deserve each other so this could go on for 3 more years for all I care.

My preference also.

IIRC, I entered this debate questioning the notion that Bale holds all the cards. Legally, he doesn't. Far from it.

Wouldn't mind if we give him one more year, he has been very important in the CL so far (assist v PSV, goals v Dortmund and City and he was brilliant in Amsterdam the second half, no chance we would've made that comeback without him) and he seems to have a good chemistry with his team mates and coaching staff.
+ Imo his playing style doesn't require him to be very physically fit too (Being a target man upfront for the long balls and providing smart passes for the upcoming wingers or AMs + also his height for corners)
