Winks is good but he still has a lot to learn. He can't or won't switch the ball across the field, can't really hit those curling, leading passes down the right or left flank to hit a runner, can't or won't loft a longish pass over the top to hit a runner. He's less good at passing than Kane or Eriksen. I love him, but to suggest he can "boss a game" is just not true.

How can he compete when he's not even been able to play in his natural position?
What we need a legit CM or two so that we aren't forced to play attackers in deep roles.
If we need competition for Dele, just drop him and let Kane play CAM with Son or Lucas up top.

How much composure would you say that trio bring to the table? Which of 'em has a reliable first touch?
Dele is simply not good enough to be a guaranteed starter. He has failed to improve since 2016.
He should be nothing more than a squad level player that can step up when needed to.

Here's what I think we'll be lucky to get done with a Levy style transfer policy
Out: Aurier, Toby, Eriksen, Janssen, Wanyama, Llorente, Vorm
In: Ndombele, Sessegnon, mystery bargain CDM (Berge/Diawara?)
Promoted: Whiteman, KWP, CCV, Foyth
The idea that we'll sign more than 3 players seems insane to me.
I just can't see it happening with the amount of dicking around and scrimping Levy will want to do.

How many starts did he get in his natural position last year? Any? I can't even think of a game he was in CAM.
If we had a real deep playmaker like Ndombele, they could spend more time running onto the end of passes than having to make magic each and every time. I will agree that they could have better first touch and composure, but honestly, our service from everyone but Eriksen and Kane was shit all season.
