We are pretty far behind city and Liverpool. The gap won’t be closed in one summer. We won’t spend fortunes. 120M max I think.

If we push Liverpool and Man City (City who will still have a stronger squad than us even with that and Liverpool about the same as ours) for the title with 85-90+ points I think that’s fine. We get 70 points or so and obviously his performance won’t have been as good as prior seasons relative to squad resources.
City and Liverpool’s squad power is huge, even with a big window we will be just getting to their level or closer. 2-3 seasons ago and yes this squad with these signings should have won the league and I would have expected Poch to deliver. The level has gone up quite a lot.

That’s not what I said. You what to be certain of the league title next season you would need to be signing Messi and players of that standard. Even with a big window we would still be only approaching Liverpool and still be miles off City but we would have a higher chance of winning something.
At the moment he’s by far the best coach we could get. In a hear he maybe won’t. But so is football. Nothing is for sure.
