Was 17/18 better for Spurs than 18/19?
I dont think so..

To be honest, I have supported Spurs actively for 29 years now - and "another season without a trophy" is certainly not an outrageous thing to happen. Think the opposition trolls are getting to you...
No body is getting to me, I just want a trophy
Season 17/18 was better than 18/19, we lost less home matches for a starter, it is painful leaving the stadium after losing a match. We had a poor PL show in the last 8-10 games. It would have been a terrible 18/19 without the quarter and semi final CL wins.
I have supported Spurs similar number of years.

So here's the actual article...

Key bit re: the tweet...

Is the deal close?
No, but it is getting closer. Spurs are in discussions with Lyon and both clubs are understood to be confident an agreement will be reached.

If you listen to the press it's been close for about 2 weeks now, will believe it when I see it.

I actually do think we might get this deal done though but it won't be for a few more weeks, there seems to be too much smoke with this one, as for any other transfers, I think that will be dependant on sales, thing is though, I would actually like to see us strengthen without weakening the squad depth.

I think we have a few players we could sell but I am reluctant to see many of our first team sold because then we are right back in the same position of having a strong first 11 but a weak bench.

That's the issue, in a perfect world we would make 4 signings and keep what we have, maybe players like Lamela, VJ and a few others can go, I mean players that rarely even make the bench in the PL either through injury or not being good enough but the truth is, we need all the backup options we can get.

Yup and with more losses in the league than the previous two seasons combined.

People like to mention the loss total don't they.
I prefer to say - we won 23 games, the same as last season.
We were only 6 points worse off overall and we had a horrible time with injuries.

We were the 'un drawables' for so long.. but Woolwich even took that trophy away from us.

cryingface

Stop fucking moaning then, you tart.

Why do I have the feeling the entire world is just messing with us? I bet we will find out that Ndomble isn't even a real person soon...

Edit: I mean his first name is Tanguy. Tan Guy. Thats some made up shit!

I only included the ones who played in England mate.
Vítor Baía fernando Couto figo Rui Costa paulo Sousa so many great great players. But I included the most recents
Hot damn that 2000 team was quality. Somehow Couto and Costa always looked like they were making a mistake yet never quite did. Remember the games that they put England and Germany to the sword.
Imagine being able to bring on Sergio Conceicao(sorry don't have accents) on as a sub!
Plus you had a great manager with Humberto Rabbit!
Happy days.

Any player that wants a new challenge (aka bigger club) having spent a number of years at Spurs.....
So basically you're saying Eriksen sees the league cup as a mickey mouse trophy? If so, evidence please.
No quotes in that article, but I'll take t as serious as I can for the purposes of this conversation.....

What we'd rather is fairly obvious... Renewed contract and probablly sell him in a couple more years.... UNTIL that is he did his little dance with the media.... From there despite your claims we don't KNOW how Poch/Levy feel about Eriksen's commitment (as already noted Levy is alleged to be pissed off!).

Key here is a new deal and CE is the least likely scenario seeing considering CE's declared desires and the fact that he holds the cards here.
But if no one wants him, what are we going to do? What is Eriksen going to do? Go and play in the chinese league like Dembele for big bucks? I don't see it myself.

Like I've already said... Any speculation and detromental impressions are CE's own fault... See interview.
No it's your fault because you choose to think that way, I choose to give him the benefit of the doubt.
......Couldn't I say exactly the same thing about you? ....Couldn't one say that about any single exchange on here? ....How often do we genuinely change each other's minds.?
Of course I believe in my own arguments but if someone makes a good argument my mind can be changed
False. I presented list of clubs that would fit his criteria in the face of you claiming to KNOW that no other club besides RM could nor do have any interest in signing him.

Fundamental point being you're presenting baseless speculation as fact again.
It looks like you're indulging baseless speculation yourself by claiming these clubs, fit his criteria. You put Athletico Madrid on the list because they won the league 5 years ago, like he would really leave us to go them, give me a break.

False again. Show me where I've singled him out for our defeat?
Your arguement centers around his head being somewhere else at the time of the final and him not be focused of course you're singling him out, I haven't seen you criticise other players for our defeat during our exchange.
See above.... Ironically, you're evidently not prepared to entertain the distinctions I'm making here.

I'm pointing out that the manager's commitments to the press are entirely different and he has to manage a vastly different scenario.... CE can ultimately refuse to talk to the press. Poch can't and therefor has to run the gauntlet and regularly face invasive, trolling and dishonest questioning numerous times every damn week.
But if he refuses to say whether he will stay or not, the papers will continue to speculate and fans like yourself will say he's being non committal. Poch doesn't have to speak in riddles and take the board to task in public but you ignore that.

My perception (and subsequent appreciation) of his seasosn is relative to the standards HE's set.
Well the highest amount of goals he's scored is 14 goals in 2017-18, he scored 12 goals the season before that, but you're saying it's hardly a shop window season when his goal tally has only dropped slightly.

Was only five years old in that Euro but watched the games later down the years and that team was magnificent. Vítor Baía is my all time favourite player.
And Joao Pinto was also brilliant as well.
