Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Though it's odd we'd fly in with a 70m bid for Dybala and not cough that up for Lo Celso, who we've apparently wanted for the last 2 months.

Why is that odd? Celso has one full season at Betis and the other played for Juve for 4 years.

One has extensive CL experience and the other has 149 minutes in it.

I get the idea of "If he's your man, pay whatever it takes", but Dybala is a far more expensive player, on paper, than Celso.

Said before we like him at a price point, he is our number one choice for players achievable but when it gets to a certain price others we prefer become options. It seemed to happen last year that when Grealish became too expensive we were willing to spend more on de Jong.

It's why I have payed attention to the fee.

-probably just paper talk

Let's dial things back a bit.

Dybala - great talent but has been patchy at Juve. Poch would need to get more from him than he is currently giving.

Lo Celso - Average at PSG, but a very decent season at Betis. However, any way you look at it - he is no more than an Eriksen replacement.

Coutinho - Bombed at Inter, did well at Pool, bombed at Barca. Still a gamble.

Sessegnon - Outstanding in the Championshop. Average in the PL. I think he has a lot of talent but questions over whether he can do a RB job or more a winger.

Ndombele - Looks really good but ultimately he is the Dembele replacement.

Some of the hype is a bit questionable.

We're mainlining transfer rumours here. Quit harshing my buzz.

With these recent reports on Dybala “not being convinced” I’m on a brutal comedown...
